Market Area Supply Chain & Operations Manager Egypt & North Africa
• Business Unit Head for Supply Chain & Operations; Direct the whole end to end supply chain/ operations for Egypt & North Africa. This includes Supply Planning, Procurement, Purchasing, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Network Optimisation Plant Management, Projects & Engineering and Inventory, Warehouses, Logistics & Distribution for Domestic & Export Markets, production planning, material operations, material planning, logistics, delivery, transportation and customer fulfilment departments. Full responsibility for operational P&L performance OPEX/ CAPEX/ Costing/ COGS/ Working Capital.
• Ensure adherence to processes and procedures within SC facilities to meet Operational Excellence (OE) & HSE objectives. Steward standardized Operational Excellence, Safety, Environment, Occupational Hygiene, ISO, Efficiency & Reliability, Lean Sigma, Compliance Processes to sustain injury, fraud & incident free operations
• Jointly accountable with the Country Manager for Business performance & P&L including development of 1 & 3 years Sales/ Marketing/ SC plan. Works on translating the IMC & Channel/ sectors sales plans to tactical level for execution/ monitoring

Africa & Middle East Growth Strategy Project Team Member; Special Assignment + current role:
• Partnered with cross functional, regional & global team to formulate short term & long-term strategies that drive sustainable growth for the region. This included defining focus segments, Sales channel; Go to Market Strategy, Customer Life Cycle, Product Life Cycle portfolio expansion (Joint Ventures, Acquisitions/ Divestment, Clustering, competitive strategy, marketing/ branding, Customer Value Proposition, sales, operations & financial plans to accelerate the growth agenda.
• Led the Supply Chain Optimization sub team to develop efficient Supply Network Plan to fulfil growth plans as per the Service Level Agreement.
• Coordinated with other team members in developing roadmap for execution. Developed Partnership Selection Criteria & tracking mechanism/ KPIs for measuring growth performance. Handed over to in-country management the roadmap & tracking KPIs
• Headed the study for Eastern African market & proposed the future strategy. Developed detailed roadmap for the market

• Co-lead the Business Growth Strategy development & formulation for the market area in the different streamlines: Product Life Cycle, Range & Offering, Customer life Cycle, Pricing Strategies, Supply Optimisation, Brand Management & Marketing Strategies, GTM & Channels/ Segment strategies
• Assigned with objective to transform the organisation from an underdeveloped sales team into a high-performing business unit that would ramp revenue, market share and profitability while building the brand among retail and consumer customers.

•Responsible for production planning and forecasting of Supply, Manufacturing and Distribution for the plant Egypt in addition partial responsibility for Morocco JV plant planning activities.
•Develops monthly MPS (Master Production Schedule) & MRP (Material Requirement Plan).
•Schedules daily production runs & makes adjustments as needed to improve efficiency, maximize productivity of all operating departments and reduce COGS and OPEX.
•Creates distribution plan for the Export business (North and East Africa & Gulf). Communicates production dates and finished goods availability to all concerned parties.
•Leads deployment & Implementation of global downstream Supply Chain and Procurement strategies, processes, systems and programs (i.e. S&OP, MRP, SLA Policies & Inventory Management Process).
•Acts as process owner of Contract Management of all raw materials contracts (Local & Global). Implements the Standard Contract Model for all agreements for Goods and Services contracted
•Measures forecast accuracy through DSFM & analyze OTIF results, define root causes for failures & develop corrective action plan.
•Sponsors S&OP process & provides decision support analysis to Local S&OP decision makers
•Acts as Supply Chain Business planner; responsible for business planning process to ensure alignment with company strategies. Coordinates with Regional analysts, Sales and Finance group to ensure alliance with the corporate guidelines.
•Provides explanations for trends and anomalies for key budget parameters for Country Functional Operations such as production level, C&E, operating expenses & cost of goods sold, and use data to drive recommendations for continuous improvement.
•Performs variance and trend analysis and issue alert and exception reporting for action by divisions concerned. Carry out special studies and reviews on the impact of changes to COGS, OPEX and Product margins.
