My responsibilities (as Client Representative) are Projects Management, integration, unification, and synchronization the group members' efforts to ensure of accurate achievements of projects objectives / targets and the unity of action in the pursuit of Aspire goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Review Consultants’ Design Development submissions considering Stakeholders' requirements / Projects objectives and consequently provide Client’s approval for each and every Phase to trigger the subsequent Phase.
2. Determine the potential variations (from Project’s scope) and its related cost / time impact to Aspire Change Control Board in order to obtain Management's approval.
3. Monitoring & Controlling Projects' Schedule, Budget & Quality.
4. Monitoring & Controlling Consultants performance and ensure that they are fulfilling their contractual obligations during both design / construction phases.
5. Review Earned Value Analysis and determine Project's deviation from the approved baseline schedule / budget and consequently implement /advise the appropriate required corrective /preventive action.
6. Serving as a bridge between site construction works and Engineering Department's different disciplines.
7. Act as a focal point of contact between entire Project's stakeholders (End-Users, Consultants, Contractors and Utilities Providers).
8. Ensure immediate / urgent resolutions for interfaced problems during both design and construction phases.
9. Assist in establishing, implementing and maintaining effective / efficient communications management plan between Project's stakeholders to ensure the implementation of appropriate results for interfaced issues.
10. Provide coordination support to the assigned functional teams to ensure the completion of balanced deliverables with regard to cost, quality, time and resources.
11. Assists in providing planning and resource management plan.
12. Ensure full integration/alignment of project schedules, resources and underlying assumptions across functions.
On Going Projects:
1. Aspetar Orthopedic Hospital (West, North, Swimming Pool and Pharmacy) at Aspire Zone, Doha. The project distinctively designed to be the most specialized orthopedic hospital in the Middle East using the latest technologies, high quality of finishing materials and the latest medical equipment for consultation rooms, Research, Education, physiotherapies and Admiration rooms. The project is currently in its handing over stage with built up area of 15, 000 m2 and Construction Cost of QR 203, 000, 000. The targeted handing over date is 15th July 2014.
2. Aspire Logistics New Office Building at Aspire Zone, Doha. The project initially was fitness center and the changed and re-designed to provide the most comfortable / suitable office spaces for around 800 employees of Aspire Zone Foundation. It has a unique /exquisite interior design. 90% of the project is handed over and Partial Handing over Certificate will be issued while the remaining 10% (VIP offices) anticipated to be handed over 1st October 2014 due to late Site Instruction issued to Contractor. The Project’s built up area of 10, 000 m2 with Construction Cost of QR 104, 000, 000.
3. Expansion of Aspire Academy at Aspire Zone, Doha. The Project’s Built up Area is 45, 000 m2 and the estimated Construction Cost of QR 500, 000, 000. The Tender Documents already floated to Tenderers and the closing date will be 30th May 2014, since the construction works commencement date planned to be 1st September 2014.
4. Khalifa International Stadium East Stand & Olympic Museum at Aspire Zone, Doha. The project is currently in its final tender stage with total expected construction cost of 1.5 billion QR, and the Project’s planned commence date is 1st July 2014.
Projects Manager & Client Representative of Canal Residence Towers (Reporting to Development Project Manager)
Canal Residence Towers consists of two major residential & commercial projects set on the Rivera style waterfront with facilities such as GYM, Health Clubs, Swimming Pools and Children Play Areas.
Responsibilities:
1. Review Consultants’ Design Development submissions.
2. Reveal the potential deviations and its related cost / time impact to DSC top Management and obtain the required approvals to proceed further.
3. Monitoring & Controlling Projects' Schedule, Budget & Quality.
4. Ensure that Consultants are fulfilling their contractual obligations and the targeted deliverables during both design & construction phases.
5. Fully responsible for value analysis processes and the enhancement of Project's quality and value.
6. Review / evaluate Consultants’ Tender analysis reports and prepare the recommendation to DSC Management.
7. Provide Project’s particular requirements and participate with Contracts department in preparation of Contractor/Consultants Contracts/LOAs.
8. Project’s integration / coordination processes between Site team, Finance, Retails, Facility Management, Real Estate & Marketing Departments to achieve stakeholders’ requirements & Projects’ objectives.
9. Review Consultants’ recommendations for Contractors' monthly payments Certificate and consequently provide Client’s approval to process the same financially.
10. Participating in negotiation processes with the short listed contractors to achieve projects objectives.
Accomplishments:
1. Canal Residence West Towers consists of five towers have Venetian, Mediterranean, Classic European, Spanish and Arabian styles, with total built up area of 1, 945, 665 sq. ft and construction cost of 942, 000, 000 AED.
2. Canal Residence East Towers consists of eight Classic European style towers, with total built up area of 1, 152, 974 sq. ft and estimated construction cost of 855, 000, 000 AED. Entire design phases had been completed and enabling works already tendered but the project execution is on hold.
Responsibilities:
Contract Administration, monitoring & controlling Project’s progress, review / approval of material submittals, shop drawings, as built drawings, review Contractor’s monthly payments, prepare Consultant’s monthly report to our clients and handling coordination process between all disciplines.
Accomplishments with Supervision Department:
1. MOVENPIK Hotel Tower at Doha, Qatar. 25 stories high-rise 5 Stars hotel of 42 Suites and 308 guestrooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, swimming pool, GYM & health club with total construction cost of QR 300, 000, 000.
2. Regency Tower at Doha, Qatar. 25 stories high-rise residential building of 175 full furnished apartments, restaurants, swimming pool, GYM and fitness centre & operated by Regency Group with total construction cost of QR 150, 000, 000.
3. Beverly Hills Tower at Doha, Qatar. 35 stories high-rise building of 350 full furnished residential apartments, restaurant, swimming pool, Health club & operated by Regency Group with total construction cost of QR 350, 000, 000.
4. Qatar Leadership School at Al Khor, Qatar. 30 Classrooms, chemistry & physics laboratories, auditorium, multipurpose hall with total cost of QR 85, 000, 000.
5. Bilal Suites Tower at Doha, Qatar. 22 stories high-rise residential building consists of 120 full furnished suites, restaurant, GYM & swimming pools operated by Bilal Real Estate with total construction cost of QR 100, 000, 000.
Project Architect (Reporting to Design Group Leader)
Accomplishments with Design Department:
1. World Trade Centre, Algeria. The complex consists of two office towers of 16 stories above high class shopping mall, occupies plot area of 14870m2 with total built up area of 61, 700m2 having retails, stores, restaurants, coffee shops, super market, cinemas & entertainment.
2. Doha International Airport, Qatar. Extension of arrival hall and new technical building.
3. Khalifa Stadium Redevelopment at Doha, Qatar. 4 Bid packages, including increasing the stadium seating capacity to 50, 000 seats, renovating and upgrading the Principal and VIP grand stands
4. Centre Point at Doha, Qatar. A commercial building having retails, stores, restaurants, coffee shops, super market, cinemas & entertainment.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Controlling projects progress, certify contractors’ invoices, review/evaluate contractors’ claims, prepare Consultant monthly reports to our Clients, review Contractors’ material submissions, work shop drawings & as built drawings, coordination processes between all disciplines.
Accomplishments:
1. Interior Construction of SAIB Bank branch at Roxy, Cairo, Egypt.
2. Interior Construction of SAIB Bank branch at 10th of Ramadan City, Cairo, Egypt.
3. The Big Mosque (400 prayers) & Islamic Centre Hassan Abbas Zaki at El-Malik El-Saleh, Old Cairo, Egypt.
4. Landscape of Mr. Ibrahim Nafi Palace at Giza, Egypt.
Design development & coordination of following projects:
1. Nefertari American School at Cairo-Egypt.
2. Complex Residential Tower at Cairo-Egypt.
Responsible for Design development & site supervision of following projects:
1. Interior of Casino Al-Shagara, Pomodoro & Les Trefles at Cairo, Egypt.
2. Interior of Katameya Heights Social Club at Cairo, Egypt.
3. Orascom chairman’s office, World Trade Centre at Cairo, Egypt.
Responsible for Site supervision of following projects:
1. Holiday Inn Hotel, 5 stars hotel at Hurghada, Egypt.
2. Geiza International Hospital at Geiza, Egypt.
3. Syndicate of Applicants Towers at Fayoom, Egypt.
4. Five residential buildings & 15 villas in Loutas resort at North Coast, Egypt.
