Responsibilitiesu**
General
• Develop implement and update departmental policies and procedures aligned to corporate objectives.
• Coordinate with heads of other departments including sales, finance and administration ensuring smooth functioning of the logistics department.
• Formulate departmental budgets and annual plans and ensure adherence to approved budgets and plans.

Purchase Management
• Negotiate with representatives of major pharmaceutical companies to finalize contracts/orders at competitive terms and prices to meet company requirements.
• Manage purchase interface with accounting to avoid overstocking of various product categories.
• Develop and maintain a computerised database with required analytical tools to aid procurement planning and control.
• Develop scientific models for devising procurement policies including order quantity and time to maintain optimum inventories in the supply chain.
• Audit all procurement activities regularly and evaluate acquisitions and purchase orders ensuring adherence to approved policies and procedures.
• Investigate analyze and solve issues related to accounts receivables, accounts payables and discrepancies in contracts in coordination with other departments.
• Liaise with suppliers and expedite deliveries against orders ensuring availability to fulfil the company’s business plan objectives.
Warehouse Management
• Plan and manage warehouse operations ensuring receipt, accounting, storage and despatch of materials as per company requirements.
• Conduct periodic analysis of warehouse inventories based on turnover to identify overstocks, shelf life expired/near expired stocks and take required corrective measures.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for various product categories and merchandize to maintain targeted stock levels.
• Plan and ensure efficient layout of the warehouse with required put-away and picking strategies.
• Ensure proper storage of all stocks conforming to recommended practices to minimize deterioration and loss.
• Prepare task and resource management (TRM) plan for all resources and assign staff duty rosters to fulfil daily warehouse operational requirements.
Financial Management and Analysis
• Analyze financial position of the company using various accounting ratios and facilitate management decision making.
• Track competitive activities in the market related to products, pricing, market segments and market shares for formulating effective counter strategies.
• Collate and synthesize current business intelligence and trend data and produce insightful reports to support high level strategic decisions.
• Maintain and up to date database of industry reports, information in public domain, field reports or procured sources.
• Develop, implement, test and maintain the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans assuring continuity of service.
• Assess risks related to new products, services or procedures as well as modifications to existing items and recommend suitable mitigation plans.
