Namaste! My name is Amrit Basnet, a dedicated marathon runner with a passion for professional athletics. I’m a 4 times Guinness World Record Holder in Ultra Running Despite growing up in a financially struggling family from a remote village in west Nepal, I discovered my deep love for running and embarked on a journey to pursue my dream of becoming a professional athlete. Academically, I completed my SLC and secondary level from the Education Board of Nepal in 2016 and 2019 respectively. Currently, I am pursuing a double Bachelor's degree, as I am in the fourth semester of my Bachelor's degree in Sports Science at Dehradun University and in the last year of
Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management Bangalore, India. Over the course of my academic and professional careers, I have obtained tremendous experience that has brought me closer to my goal. Regarding my work experience, I served as the Race Director at the Himalayan Outdoor Festival. Furthermore, I gained valuable experience as a logistics officer at Logistic Periwinkle Trade and Service Pvt. Ltd., as well as at Nanglo Hospitality Group. Since 2019, I worked as a trekking guide in Nepal as well. I also held positions such as Storekeeper at Hotel Kalpataru Nepalgunj, Field Research Officer at Himalaya Expedition, and Contract Event Planner at Event Nepal Pvt. Ltd, Sales Representative at Laxmi Cycle Centre, and Sasto Deals. Throughout my journey, I have actively participated in various sports and competitions, achieving notable accomplishments
