Accountable for Group-Wide Credit Risk Audits to meet Board, regulator and management committee directives and requirements and in alignment with the bank's direction and strategy. Oversee and direct Credit Risk Audit reports, engagements, findings, documentation, risk assessments, recommendations and all activities related. Set and maintain appropriate and updated framework, policies and procedures for the dept. and ensure accuracy and relevance of overall Audit activities.
Ensure credit policies alignment with business objectives, local regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Oversees smooth running of the credit disbursement process, including the participation & contribution towards setting up appropriate credit plan, policies and procedures with respect to each business Unit. Preparation of different credit exposure calculation models using statistical techniques i.e. Exposure given default, Value at risk, Credit score card, and estimated probability of default. Direct and oversee the periodic reviews on business processes, workflows and procedures in order to ensure compliance and operational efficiency to STC’s credit policies.
Responsible for reviewing large and complex credit approvals, evaluating adherence to risk acceptance criteria and facilitating credit approval with the concerned parties in order to maintain quality throughout ARB’s credit portfolio and minimize potential losses. Provide insights and recommendations on facility structure or possible caveats to the agreement with regard to the general lending limits or other risk related implications and present theses to senior management for approvals.
Managed a classified portfolio of (Non-Performing Loans & Write-off) accounts. In addition, proposing to reschedule and restructure the facilities, and preparing credit memos. Upgrade & downgrade clients risk ratings and preparing comprehensive status report on assigned portfolio and developing settlement/ write off proposal and reducing non-performing portfolio provisions held by way of making recoveries either by cash or liquidating assets & securities and obtaining additional securities.
Managed relationships and credit facilities of companies in Corporate banking group. The role included financial, management, business, credit credibility, and performance history analysis of the firms seeking credit facilities. In addition, cross selling, client retention, and booking new business.
Managing a commercial segment portfolio and develop new relations in business segments (Trading, Manufacturing and Contracting, booking only high quality assets and responsible for portfolio quality and achieving annual target and profitability.
Manage a team of relationship managers: set, agree and measure annual targets, provide professional advice, guidance, training & motivation to enhance their potential & capabilities to hold higher responsibilities, and conduct their performance reviews.

Conduct annual audit reviews for credit related business parties (Large Corporate, Middle Corporate and SME) to check quality/integrity of credit files & in-compliance with internal policies & procedures as well as SAMA regulations.
Engaged in audit assignments that may include special investigations, distressed assets and policy/check list reviews.
