• Designing DWDM networks in iQ Networks, a leading ISP company in Iraq. Responsible for setting up new network connections in DWDM, and choosing the appropriate equipment to make the connections (Optical amplifiers, ROADMs, MUX/DEMUX, Transponders, Dispersion Compensation modules, protection modules).
• Hands-on experience with three different vendors (ADVA Optical Networking SE, JDSU, Dowslake Microsystems)
• Hands-on experience with long haul connections, and calculating OSNR and BER and using RAMAN amplifier to extend and achieve the maximum possible connections.
• Hands-on experience in setting up long distance point to point DWDM 100Gbps per lambda connection.
• Troubleshooting the problems which may occur in the network. Problems include fiber cuts, hardware failures, low input powers…, etc.
• Dealing with many kinds of optical interfaces (XFPs, SFP+ of 10G with and without FEC, SFP of 1G and 155 Mbps)
• Dealing with SNMP protocol (MIB and OID).
• Networking (subnetting, VLANs, OSPF, RIP) configuration for management access to DWDM devices.
• Doing training for new employees. In addition, doing training for the technicians on using measurement devices, following the company’s standards, and simplified introduction to fiber optics and DWDM.

Specialized in optical networks and the transmission of optical signals, mostly in DWDM networks.

Responsible for the network, media software, and internet connected through the devices.
