Reporting to Egypt's General Manager as one of the business senior leadership team and functional reporting to MEA R&D Director. Managing all R&D scope of work such as product innovation, Technical brand management, Value for money and SRA (Scientific & Regulatory Afairs) as well as being the gatekeeper for products quality and delivered/responsible for:
• Attended 8 weeks of R&D induction in EMEA regional HUB in the UK where I used my manufacturing experience to work on the design of the relocation of the regional EMEA R&D center including ofices, warehouse, pilot plants and sensory center from Leicester city to its new location.
• Initiated for the first time ever in Egypt the implementation of a new stage gate process to manage the innovation process in collaboration with Marketing (From concept to commercialization).
• Leading and executing all new products development from consumer insights into finished product design and execution.
• Contributing to all strategic and critical tactic plans/decisions for the whole company including P&L as part of the senior management team.
• Setting the R&D strategy for the Egyptian business and lead all products innovation agenda.
• Work with Marketing consumer insights team and with the external agencies to identify winning concepts then create product testing through qualitative and quantitative research.
• Leading the technical development of the consumer insights briefs (Bases tests, Home Use tests, etc.)
• Leading the development of the product brief to be submitted to the flavor houses and external suppliers.
• Leading the quality agenda of the business for all salty brands being the quality gatekeeper.
• Ensuring that operations are implementing all products designs and specs and Supporting the operations in the technical training of the operations team.
• Work closely with the local authorities and being a member of the standards development in the Egyptian Organization of Standards ensuring that all brands are complying with local regulations to prevent any business disruption.
• Horizon scanning for all upcoming new regulations locally and globally and work with local bodies to ensure compliance.
• Led the launch of big disruptive innovations such as Doritos brand launch in Egypt, Mini Cheetos, Cheetos Pufs and Crunchy Cheetos delivering to the business 100% growth in couple of years.

Reporting to the Engineering Director and working as a project engineer for the extension of the Antibiotic Production Department (APD). And responsible for performing the pre-delivery inspection of all the equipment as well as supervising the installation, commissioning, validation and Documentation. And prepared and implemented an integrated preventive maintenance system, mechanical and electrical, for six production departments. Though being a mechanical engineer, I was appointed to manage the electronics and calibration workshop too.
