RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop new products every year to meet market demands and maintain/improve market share for private label customers.
• Draw up development plan based on the new brief and updates supplied by the management/Customers.
• Interpret technical briefs ensuring innovative and technologically competent solutions are in line with the project brief, customer expectations, operational constraints and commercial needs.
• Develop new products in accordance with development briefs from internal and external sources.
• Manages the product development cycle (e.g., timelines, pricing, vendor selection domestically and overseas).
• Stay on top or ahead of new trends, market opportunities, and developments in components, techniques, fashion, fragrances, etc.
• work closely with the procurement team to identify new sources of supply of product needs
• Handle new component enquiries and price negotiations.
• Handle queries/problems related to new product development.
• Draw up new product draft costing jointly with Costing Manager.
• Meet visiting vendors (fragrance, bottle, cap, packaging etc) and obtains information on new developments.
• Keep track of the competition through various services, databases checking Web sites, market research and various other sources.
• Help consumers move through the new product diffusion, and adoption quickly and effectively.

ACHIVEMENT:

• Successfully launch Fogg roll-on from concept to launch within 6 months.
• Successfully timely launch of 3 variants of Body Mist for Cartoon Network® TV with significant cost saving by using flexographic shrink Sleeve.
• Localization of Fogg Body Pray for International market and delivered product (Including printed cans) within 45 days after commercial finalization.
• Leads several NPD’s for Royal Mirage, Yardley ME & Yardley India.
• Successfully handled new business development with Godrej ME & India.

1) PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Unilever UK (Global Supply Chain - Deodorant Category). Project management of component assembly machine in UK, Europe, North & Latin America regions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Team lead for project management.
• Development of User Requirement Specifications for machines.
• Routine project status monitoring and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• Evaluate progress, problem and solution on weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & Site Acceptance Test (SAT) qualification.
• Automation machine qualification protocols development & report to client.
ACHIVEMENT:
• Successfully lead & managed to established automation lines across Europe, LatAm, USA & Asia approx. worth GBP 30 Million.
• Successfully managed cross functions activities with various team across Europe ( UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Belgium), LatAm ( Argentina & Mexico), USA, India & Phillipines.
HUL (Home Care Category) Test Method Development: Developed the complete new test methods to evaluate cleaning efficiency and longevity of scouring pad (used for utensil cleaning). Executed the comparison study of various leading scouring pad brand in certified testing labs. We are in process to register those test methods with BIS. Involved in product vendor evaluation team.
HUL (Water Purifier Category) Mold Validation Protocol Development: Developed mold validation protocol for injection mold. Conducted offline mold validation study of components at various stages like T0, T1 & MQR in mold qualiification.

2) NEW PACKAGE DEVELOPMENT:
Frozen Indian Snacks Pack: New Packaging Development for Ready to Eat frozen Potato wada and Sabudana wada. Develop a complete new concept (in this category) of aluminum cups with lid in paperboard stray with shrink-wrap. Developed suppliers for all packaging materials, sealing machines and shrink tunnel.
Packaging for Bearings: NRB is India’s second largest bearing manufacturer. Develop improved primary and secondary package with complete new specifications for 8 SKU’s of bearings. Introduced anti-counterfeit & tamper evident feature. Develop and Implemented SOP for packaging line and provide training to workers. Validate new specification by actual transit trials.
New Package development for binding wire: Successfully Design, Developed and implemented innovative packaging for steel binding wire. Explore different innovative packaging options with feasibility and costing.

3) COST REDUCTION / VALUE ENGINEERING:
Damage control in sea shipment: Tasty Byte is ready to eat manufacturer and exporter company with more than Rs.100 Cr turnover. They were facing 12-15% carton damages during sea transit from India to USA. We have worked on secondary and tertiary packaging refining and specification optimization and reduced damage below 1% with cost saving around 8% without major change in automation.
3 SKU’s of 3M India: Packaging cost reduction in 3 existing SKUs. By Reduce Replace and Innovation Philosophy. Worked on cost reduction of Scoth-brite Pad, Anti-corrosion tin container and combi-pack of scouring pad and steel-wool packs.

4) NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Key responsibilities in new business development role.
• Technical expert for new client meeting and new project discussions.
• Technical evaluation of project feasibility and project scope.
• Defining project goals, milestones and develop project network time lines.
• Identify and allocation of resource from internal resource pool.
• Talent acquisition and nurturing team.
