PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE IMPLEMENTATION FOR EARTH MOVING EQUIPMENTS @ M/s THRIVENI EARTHMOVERS, TATANAGAR, JHARKHAND, INDIA.
Project Scope
• Recommend intelligent techniques to enhance maintenance effectiveness to reduce fleet failure rate by applying predictive maintenance rules using an analytical engine that comprises of Artificial Intelligence tools.
• Ensure that the recommended intelligent techniques and algorithms as built on the case-based reasoning principles
• Propose and examine the scope of integration between the recommended system and the available IT and management system.
• Examine the fitment of the existing BI application in line with the proposed functionalities of the smart maintenance system and suggest suitable solution architecture.
• Develop and test the predictive maintenance algorithm that is capable to cater for the above objectives
• Prepare New Proposal for Smart Maintenance System
• Provide Technical Guidance to the project
• Validate Current Practices, discussions with asset owners
• Propose Recommendations for Reliability
• Validate Models and Suggestions for improvement in accuracy, KPI Computations
• Ensure sensitivity on inputs for asset performance models
• Provide information on failure class/models, Custom reports for asset reliability computations
• Prepare Fault Diagnosis System through Telematics System to the various models and vehicles
• Study the existing systems and procedures for maintenance and fault diagnosis
• Identify the needed data and its data gathering techniques to implement smart maintenance system
• Study / analyze the current failure hierarchy, and recommend / design the new failure hierarchy
• Propose improvement and new processes or systems to reduce the probability of equipment / system failure and suggest the appropriate preventive action
• Design the health index for the current buses and identify the required information and processes needed to measure it. (The index should be applicable for the future measurements)

To look after Head Position of Maintenance Team of SRM Transports, Cargo, Car Carrier, RMC, Cement Company Vehicles.
Responsible for managing a fleet of over 1000 vehicles, a workforce of over 400 employees and maintenance budget of INR 6 Cr/month
Job Profile
• Ensure vehicle servicing to maximize targets and satisfaction of internal customer (operation dept)
• Lead, mentor & monitor the performance of the team members to establish service stadards, reliabilty and cost-efficiency
• Create and implement maintenanace schedules, repair/overhauling/modification programs, failure analysis & corrective activities in the entire service set up, and documentation thereof
• Monitor vehicle utilization, operational efficiency, fuel efficiency, downtime trends, etc., and derive action plan to streamline fleet perfromnce towards enhnced cost and operating efficiency
• Ensure timely resolution of critical/persistent technical issues through root cause analysis approach to avoid recurrences
• Implement and ensure compliance of Best Maintenace Practices at workshops to enhance reliabilty standards
• Plan, organize and supervise the daily routine work, maintenance programs, preventive maintenance programs for vehicles towards minimizing no. of return jobs, while optimizing monthly labour turnover, and vehicle turnaround time
• Prepare budgets for the service department and ensure that all activities are completed within allocated budget
• Plan and consolidate spare parts and consumables requirements, raise purchase requests, assist in procurement process, liaise with vendors for on time delivery, and supervise/maintain inventory for day to day operations
• Implement and maintain high Safety standards fully compliant with procedures and the ESH requirements
• Maintain and update policies, handbooks and procedures as per RTA rules and regulations, agency directives and strategy
• Ensure that all the inspections of the vehicles have been carried out
Key Highlights
• Successfully reorganized and relocated two stores to one central store, with updating of stock to locators through FMS
• Established control on Diesel pilferage by driving efficient program through GPS Tracking
• Planned and implemented the redesign of a section of the new workshop up to the benchmark
• Implemented Electronic Ticketing Machine in Omni Bus Sector
• Identified, evaluated and disposed high maintenance vehicles
• Improved the overall workshop and service reception training level by implementing training schedules and training sessions run by the Vehicle manufacturer
• Brought about improvements in staff accommodation and Driver/Employee/Mechanic related issues
Responsible for the service of a fleet of 2000 vehicles, a workforce of over 500 employees budget of INR 1.5 Cr

• Prepare strategies to enhance service standards and maintenance effectiveness
• Assess & recommend facility requirements, optimum manpower & equipment in anticipation of the future requirement
• Spearhead Service Dept in planning day-to-day service operations targeted to meet service objectives
• Seek opportunities in improvement of operational systems, processes & policies in support of organizations mission, specifically, supporting better management reporting and information flow & management
• Define operational parameters & ensure strict adherence to them for achieving highest levels of operational efficiency
• Prepare budgets for service & parts vertical, and administer/control expenses for budgets compliance or saving
