Total years of experience :21 years, 5 Months
I was recruited into the Business Services unit to manage their global finance service delivery operations. My role includes;
· Review current processes and develop processes that are more effective and in sync with client strategy.
· Using IBM Blueworks to identify “Golden Process”. With the aid of VSM studies identify process weakness and control points. Streamline processes to create capacities (Transformation).
· Work with both the internal and external stakeholders to provide best in class service based on the client needs and service capabilities.
· Service Agreements Creation and Management (SLA). Developed a pro-active approach to manage SLA’s by using Lead Indicators. This involved breaking down each SLA into “child indicators” that provide insight into the operations. Leading Indicators provide valuable insight that enables us to plan our actions. It is to move away from a reactionary approach to operations.
· Lead Transformation exercises for the Finance Track. Transitions for location optimization, Transformation involving process consolidations, activity consolidations and systems intervention.
· Based on Analysis, creation of Target Operating Models (TOM) that requires Stakeholder consent implementation of the TOM. (High Level Interaction Model creation)
· Creation of Control Framework based on the VSM Studies. Provide a risk matrix which Identifies Risks and provides Mitigation Controls. Governance model created that involved interaction with stakeholders at different levels. (Weekly Operational Calls, Monthly Strategy Calls with Senior Stakeholders and Quarterly reviews with the Oversight Board)
· As part of the Global responsibility, developed the Business Continuity Plan for the Finance Delivery spread across multiple locations. Developed the training plan that involved remote learning during the pandemic environment.

But due to limitations specific to Airline industry existing in Oracle Financials, other ‘In-house’ packages are used like RAPID (Revenue) and COMET (Out-Stations Accounting). Emirates Airlines had a centralized accounting structure with the satellite offices in some of its Major Outstations such as New York, Mumbai etc.
