Managing complete infrastructure of storage and backup as primary and Unix as secondary skill for a leading telecom company in Oman, We are managing almost 10 PB of block/file storage data, secure the production data with backup solution along with around 2000+ Unix servers configured in physical and virtual infrastructure.


Job Description:

•Host integration of open system with emc vmax, unity by thin provisioning.
•Host integration of open system with hpe 3PAR and Hitachi storage (HUSVM).
•Host integration of open system with Huawei midrange storage.
•Lun expansion which is coming from emc VMAX, unity, Hpe 3par, Huawei for mission critical application/db.
•Managing emc vnx 5500(block only) for virtualization, by presenting datastore on esxi servers.
•Managing eNAS for exporting cifs & nfs share on the network (eNAS is virtual system on vmax3)
•Implementation of srdf on emc vmax between primary and secondary datacenter to replicate Application data.
•Replicating the file and block data from prod unity to DR unity.
•Replicating the eNAS from local to DR.
•Managing and administrating cisco san switch for daily infrastructure operations by command line and DCNM.
•Managing and administrating virtual infrastructure ( hpe c7000 blade enclosure with gen8/9 blades, Cisco UCS blade enclosure with B200 M5 blades as compute, for datastore we are using emc VNX5500, HPE 3PAR, Huawei 5800 V3( we are taking care of Installation and configuration of esxi on HP and cisco blades, configuration of esxi in cluster, configuration of standard and distributed switch, datastore configuration for esxi and esxi cluster, creating vm template, deploy vm from template, vmotion for esxi maintenance, cloning of vms, moving vm from one vcentre to another vcentre as part of vm migration, etc etc)
•Storage hardware sizing, capacity planning and upgrade.
•Storage upgrade for EMC VMAX, VNX, 3PAR, Huawei and HUSVM.
•Installation and configuration of EMC Networker 19.3.
•Installation and configuration of EMC storage node 19.3
•Configuration of data domain device on EMC networker for database/file system/ndmp backups.
•Configuring client (windows/Linux/AIX/HP-UX) to take file system/oracle/sqldb backups.
•Configuration of workflow for the client group and schedule the backup.
•Configuration of NDMP backup.
•Registering the vcenter and vproxy to EMC networker.
•Configuration of VM snapshot backup.
•Zoning and configuration of Tape library for backup and cloning purpose.
•Restoration of file system/oracledb/sqldb.
•Restoration of vm snapshot for system recovery as well as file level recovery.
•Troubleshooting of backup issues and fix it.
•Initiating new deployment/upgrade for storage and Unix infrastructure.
•Installation/configuration/administrator of HP C7000 blade enclosure, creating profile for each blade.
•Installation/configuration/administration of CISCO UCS, creating service profile template, deploying service profile from template for UCS blade servers.
•Actively involved in Installation/configuration/administrator of Huawei E9000 blade enclosure, creating profile etc.
•Unix and Linux administration (installation and configuration of operating system, scanning and configuring external storage devices by storage/native multipathing software, creating new file system, growing existing file system, installation/upgradation of operating system rpm, etc) for different production/uat and test server for critical application/db.
•Making sop for storage and Unix activity.
•Drive high and critical Incident as per agreed sla.

•Basic administration on EMC NAS(NAS-20) including creation of Filesystem, Creation of CIFS shares, NFS shares by Celera Console.
•Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Solaris 10 operating system.
•Configuration of different raid levels through SVM and Veritas Volume Manager.

•Exporting NAS volumes for NFS & CIFS Usages.
•Good understanding of DAS, NAS, SAN.
•Creation of ISCSI lun for Solaris, Linux and windows server.
•Snap drive configuration on Nas storage.
•Management & troubleshooting of Veritas volume manager.
•Thorough understanding of Veritas volume manager 3.2 and 5.0..
•Creation of Veritas Volume from subdisks, plexes.
•Management of Veritas NetBackup.
•Configuration and troubleshooting of Veritas NetBackup data center & enterprise server.
•Configuration of multiple Tape libraries like StorageTek L700, SL500 including robot.
