• Responsible for developing a prospecting plans for mew business and retention of assigned accounts by maintaining contact with the clients, involvement in marketing decisions and renewal process and ensuring all client requests are addressed.
• Analyze client needs, suggest coverage forms and provide marketing quotations for new and existing clients.
• Provide technical expertise in coordinating the inside service of new and existing clients through sales, account development, and problem solving.
• Contribute information and ideas during strategy meetings.
• Market, place and review of new and renewal insurance programs, including proposal preparation, when needed.
• Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general insurance inquiries.
• Handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance including frequent outside service visits to clients.
• Respond to underwriters' questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain client files accurately and consistently; responsible for proper documentation of files and proper communication to all in accordance with company workflows, procedures and best practices.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
• Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination as needed.
• Work closely with Producers and other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to HUB’s best practices and standard procedures.
• Oversee the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts.
• Acquire understanding of clients’ insurance objectives and critically analyze and compare insurance plans to determine suitability. Stay abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact clients. Make appropriate recommendations to clients in response to those changes independent of manager approval.
• Act as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues that require policy interpretation and experience based judgment to resolve. May also negotiate with underwriters and carriers. Troubleshoots claims and billing issues.
• Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business.
• Develop new business from existing accounts and assigned leads
• Manage a portfolio of over $6M that includes a mix of Commercial Lines, Personal Lines and Travel Insurance
• Managing the sales and service for A-WIN’s Edmonton Glengarry and Whyte Ave branches
• Responsible for all promotional campaigns
• Actively engage in relationship building with local businesses and the community
• P&C and LLQP Licensed insurance agent actively pursuing a CRM designation
• Provide technical support for residential TV and internet
• Handle all inbound queries and advocate resolutions to issues in a timely and accurate manner
• Understand customer’s needs and provide appropriate service solutions
• Gained thorough knowledge of TELUS systems, products and procedures
• Designed, edited or wrote all brochures and publications including E4C Annual Report, internal and external newsletters and website content.
• Responsible for all aspects of advertising and marketing campaigns from conception to design including slogans for various programs.
• Managed event preparation from start to finish including the Annual General Meeting and several Volunteer Appreciation events. I worked with caterers, venue managers, decorators and managed a budget.
• Frequently liaised with the media and politicians. Wrote press releases, compiled media packages and wrote communication letters.
• Negotiated a lease agreement with landlord and conducted a survey of the surrounding area in order to write a solid business plan.
• Organized the construction schedule, including hiring and managing of all contractors and designed the restaurant.
• Managed all day-to-day operations including budget, payroll, purchasing, advertising, cooking, and staff responsibilities.
