• Supervise and monitor a team of Procurement Engineers, Expeditors, Purchasers.
• Establish, harmonize and maintain procurement procedures and policies.
• Review preparation of Technical Submittals in compliance with project requirement (specification) and company budget.
• Quarterly stock-taking (inventory count) and procurement reports for Board of Directors review meetings.
• Material Procurement, Sub-contract management, price negotiations etc.
• Continuous market analysis for market trends and latest technologies and innovative solutions.
• Establish systemic communication with team members and maintain close working relationship with clients through the course of a project.
* Review engineering packages (layouts, riser diagrams, calculations, flow & hydraulic analysis etc.)
* Liaise with vendor, designer, Project Management Team, AHJs to ensure smooth coordination from design to commissioning.
* Raise Technical Queries on matters of design, code requirements and standard violations with designer.
* Supervise and direct a team of engineers and foremen to execute the work on site and advise on modifications necessary in keeping with code requirement.
* Monitor and report on site progress on daily, weekly and monthly
basis.
*Test & Commission Fire Systems including Addressable Fire Alarm, Sprinkler (Wet, Dry, Preaction), Clean Agent Systems, Fire Pumps etc.
* Preparation of technical and commercial proposals and Technical Bid Evaluation.
* Detailed designing fire alarm and fire suppression systems with detailed engineering inclusive of shop drawings, hydraulic/flow calculations, P&IDs, cause & effect matrices, etc.
* Perform design and specification peer review and quality control work of junior engineers.
* Liaise with overseas suppliers for technical clarifications and placing orders.
* Monitor & assist site construction.
