Main duties: Preparation of monthly management accounts. Year end reporting. Meeting with Bank Managers to discuss finances. Raising and posting of sales ledger invoices ensuring that customer order numbers are stated on the invoices, setting up and maintaining customer accounts on sage. Checking and authorising purchase invoices prior to posting, raising purchase orders on sage, setting up and maintaining supplier accounts on sage. Requesting Credit checks and ensuring details are entered in to sage. VAT and EC sales returns. Sage payroll. Keeping an excel data base for Breakdown and Recovery memberships ensuring that renewal letters and invoices are issued in time. Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Dealing with sales and purchase queries. Sage payroll for 10 members of staff.

I own a small independent craft and handmade gift shop along with my Mum who runs the shop during the week. We sell a vast range of crafting materials from card making to knitting and sewing.
Dragonflies also run a children’s craft group during the school holidays. I work well with children and enjoy teaching crafts.

Preparing monthly management accounts for departmental directors. I was responsible for the control and maintainence of the petty cash. Checking purchase ledger invoice coding prior to final posting, maintaaining and updating the fixed asset register, maintaining and updating all hire purchase/finance agreements, producing the quarterly VAT returns.
Responsible for the day to day processing of both purchase and sales invoices, credit control, maintaining the fixed asset register, counting and reconciling the money from the auctions, ensuring that deposits are allocated against the correct bids. Checking and paying the VAT and duty on imported vehicles on behalf of The Auction Group and its sales customers, ensuring that the correct VAT numbers were being used for the correct companies.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the fixed asset register for both the Casino business and the Interactive business in excel spreadsheet format in preparation for upload into AS400 system. Responsible for setting up the monthly capital reporting system for Casinos for use by the budget holders.
Preparation and posting of monthly journals ensuring all accruals and prepayments are accounted for in the correct period, reconciliation of general ledger balances ensuring that all accounts are analysed and queries dealt with immediately. Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts, statutory and group accounts, controlling and maintaining the fixed asset register.
Working within Property Finance I was responsible for the correct allocation of all postings to the ledgers. Ensuring that any entries into the Miscellaneous account were investigated and posted to the correct nominal code. I was also responsible for the correct posting of and capital tax, ensuring that we complied with all UK Government legislation.
Responsible for purchase ledger and sales ledger in both England and Germany, including payments in both sterling and Deutsche Marks. I set up, controlled and maintained the fixed asset reister, prepared and submitted Intrastats and EC sales returns, prepared and posted the monthly journals. Assisted the Financial Controller with the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
Processing purchase invoices and sales invoices. Processing payroll on a weekly basis. Driving vehicles as and when required.
