Trained as a real estate agent for two weeks and on the two-week mark, was presented with an offer letter that lasted a day at most. Parted with the company due to personal reasons.
I unofficially worked as a sales intern (under no contractual obligations/ offer letter) for a financial services company called GCFX. (Global Capital Marketing Limited)
My role was to acquire clients for the company and persuade them to create membership accounts where we would assist them in trading using tools and our platform as well as investing in stocks, assets, commodities, and currencies (including cryptocurrencies) through an initial cold call, followed by a WhatsApp message or two where I would share the company's profile, then a bunch of follow up calls.
Over the week I was there, I called 900 potential clients and got 3 responses: 1 was not interested and the other 2 ghosted me.
I would have earned a substantial commission on top of a marginal salary but as mentioned earlier, I neither signed a contract nor was I presented with an offer letter.
I unofficially worked as a real estate agent in training where I would engage in telesales and telemarketing (cold calling to get people to list their property(ies) with the company for sale or buy a property or lease a property, land, etc........), I would increase brand awareness through presentations that I would present on Zoom, Teams, etc........, to attract local and foreign investors to Dubai or encourage them to invest in the Dubai Secondary Market and/or Off Plan Market i.e. Samana Mykonos Apartments, etc............
All of this ran parallel to general real estate training that would happen every so often where I learned about terms such as Ejari, Makani, Tamweel, T awkeel, Molkiya, etc.............., as well as learning about the variety of contracts and legalities involved and/or needed for any real estate transaction such as Contracts A, B, F, I and U, LOI (Letter of Intent), MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), etc.................
All this occurred in the two months I trained at the company.
