World Trade Exhibition 2020, Dubai - Commercial - $60m Nov 2018 - March 2020
•Role as Commercial Project Manager on design and build, fast track (18 months) of 6no. separate contracts and consultants under FIDIC agreement. Manufacture and installation of 3no. arrivals plazas including 24no. buildings with structural steel shaded canopy, back of house including storage units, temporary luxury tent structures and utilities, police operations command centre with audio visual systems, medical aid centre and IFT building
•Supervision of delay claim involving an extensive change to project layout configuration from client. This resulted in a 2-month delay for design team. Submitted notice of delay with costs including compilation of delaying events, a detailed time impact analysis (outsourced) for dispute. In addition, the team compiled documentation to prove staffing, labour and other cost increases caused by an acceleration program. Further works of $4m required detailed cost analysis and measurement to prove this change value.
Sales Centre Complex, Oman- Commercial - $7m Nov 2018 - Sept 19
•Role as Commercial Project Manager focused on prestigious sales centre in Oman. Subcontracted earthworks with insitu pad foundations and columns to basement. 1, 400m2 D&B modular systems manufactured in Dubai and shipped to Oman, bolted together on site, using local subcontract to complete finishes.
•By introducing of new financial systems, vast savings and increased turnover on change requests saved the project from heavy losses. Deemed by management as a successful project considering this was their first true construction project.
Majid Al Fattaim Office, Dubai - Commercial - $2m Jan 2019 - Apr 2019
•Contract cancelled midway - downturn in economy caused developer to put development on hold.
•Contract successfully closed on this lump sum project as a result of building strong relationships with the client and consultant while ensuring quality submissions of documentation
•Able to agree the final account rapidly while avoiding litigation for late delivery (as a result of new concept of acting as contractor - teething problems).
Beach Palace Accommodations, Abu Dhabi - Residential - $4m May 2019 - March 2020
•Managed budget, selection and payment of subcontractors and final account negotiations for 2no. buildings. First building successfully agreed which ensured negotiated contract of second building.
Akoya Oxygen, Oman - Recreational - $7m Jul 2019 - March 2020
•23no. swimming pool change room facilities D&B modular concrete and steel units to prestigious domestic housing development. Client’s late release of sites resulted in expiry of fixed price allowing the opportunity of revised rates, project ongoing.
Carrefour / Spinneys Stores, Oman - Commercial - $7m Aug 2019 - Dec 19
•1, 200m2 D&B steel structure modular buildings project for Damac properties. A large player in the UAE who are used to operating from a position of strength. Extremely difficult to manage and finalize final accounts. Through establishing close relationships with key players and submitting correct documentation at crucial stages ensured financial success on these projects.
