Roles / Responsibilities:
 Responsible for the well-being of Core Network through planning and designing network, and perform relevant
network activities such as expansions, feature enabling, optimization, new integrations and applying latest
technologies and trends, to ensure that network is always ready to meet customer demands and growth and
provide customers with the best network experience.
 Responsibility for installation, integration and troubleshooting IMS/VoLTE components.
 MSS AND MGW EXPANSION - Creating sub rack, plug-in-units, and assigning IP.
 Conduct analysis of C7 Signaling trace dumps for general network issues and service degradations.
 Signaling definitions, link creation, route creation, MTP Routing, link set creation, Signaling shifting for
MSC/MSS/MGW. Configuration of SS7 links, link set, and route set Defining New connectivity on TDM level.
Configuring SIGTRAN for MSS to MGW connectivity.
 Manage fault clearance and conduct analysis on Core Entities for hardware and software troubleshooting.
 Trunk Creation & Augmentation (E1, A-ter and A-link), traffic shifting for MSC/MSS/MGW.
 Generate statistical reports and conduct analysis for Core Network KPIs (e.g. CSSR, Paging, Handovers, Call Drops,
congestion analysis, BHCA and alarm logs) and follow-up with peer teams for network optimization
 Various Software upgrades. All MSC, MSS and MGW upgraded to the latest CD level.
 Connectivity of (New nodes integration) MSC with other GMSCs, STP or TSC.
 Backup Management - Taking system backup on daily, weekly basis and maintaining database so that in case of
Emergency we can use it to restore the system to original state.
 Alarm Monitoring and rectification - Regular Alarm Checking and Rectification and to maintain lowest alarms in
the system, for smooth running of the network, Action on Critical Alarms escalated by the Monitoring team on
priority.
 Configuration of New connectivity with other operators (Intra Circle), NLD/ILD connectivity, End to end AT, Call
testing.
 Integration of MSC with adjunct nodes i.e. HLR, IN, STP etc. Digit Analysis and Call Routing Managements.
Coordination with other operator, roaming Partners and third party to resolve networking & different KPIs issues.
 Inter-operator POI connectivity, Augmentation of POI and AT - Configuration of New connectivity with other
operators (Intra Circle), NLD/ILD connectivity, End to end AT, Call testing, Getting it approved from Revenue
Assurance and making traffic live.
 Routing - Routing of digits for new services offered, new levels, making changes in routing as and when needed,
Maintaining lowest level of revenue leakage due to routing. Regular Routing Audit to Improve customer Experience
and optimization of NLD/ILD bandwidth.
 B no. analysis - New level opening, traffic diversion, MSRN/IMSI/GT Definition.
 Routing case analysis, traffic bifurcation and roaming definition.
 PRI configuration and expertise in troubleshooting. Short code/VAS code definition.
 HLR subscription definition, profile definition/change.

 Installation, commissioning and maintenance of Traffic nodes (2P, 6P, 20P).
 DCN Management, Transmission Improvement, NMS Optimization.
 Prioritize hardware faults to meet customer demands within the required timeframe along with
analysis, solution and reports of the same.
 Communication of faults and solutions to the customer.
 Fault management through physical interactions at sites.
 Preventive maintenance of the sites.
 Providing 24X7 support to maintain network availability.



O&M RESPONSIBILITIES

Handling all field maintenance in the circle, typical activities are corrective and preventive maintenance but also network changes that require physical intervention.
 To Remote login in case of NOC outage to all traffic nodes on the Network.
 To Manage Routine Alarms in the Network.
 To Investigate the alarms, resolve fault & reassurance with NOC.
 To interact with D&P, TAC and NOC for Change requests work orders.
 To interact with Local vendors for environmental upkeep of sites.
