Collects EOD sales from all cashiers and updates the system, sends all related reports and copies to HO (Head Office) daily
•Reviews point of sale transactions in compliance with company policies and procedures
•Custodian of POS Register Keys
•Oversees cash control operations and ensures registers have adequate cash for operations.
•Reconciles cash count with sales figure
•Sorts documents and posts debits/credits to proper account.
•Review entries of data in the system and makes necessary corrections
•Reconciles bank statements, department records and statement of accounts
•Ensures adequate supervision and timely reporting of any fraudulent activities in terms of inventory or cash manipulation
•Reports to Store Manager or Internal Audit Unit any substantial amount of shortages/excess of Cashiers for further validation and investigation.
•Processes the charge slip/ vouchers on cash shortages of Cashiers and sends it to HO for proper accounting & debiting to Cashier’s account
•Ensures security &safety on all forms of valuables such as cash, gift vouchers, telephone cards, stamps, SIM cards and other important documents of the store
•Collecting and reconciling foreign currency and forwarding it to Central Cashier - HO
•Check and forward Sales statement daily to HO Accounts
•Reconciling Storekeeper’s Electronic PO Receiving Report with Local Purchase Advise before dispatching to HO
•Following Up with Missing / Mismatched Purchase Invoices
•Monitoring Goods In Transit and following up to update the same
•Checks and forwards local purchase invoices along with local purchase advise daily to HO Accounts
•Issues Cash & prepares petty cash vouchers for store expenses & local purchases of the supermarket
•Checking and verifying all financial entries
•Controls and maintains store stationeries & supplies for supermarket usage
•Manages the inventory of Gift Vouchers, telephone cards (if any), Salik& NOL Cards by using manual registers
•Maintaining of Lost and Found Register, and reporting to HO
•May send communication to Credit Account Customers whenever advised
•May assists with supervision and training of cashiers on other Cashiering duties and responsibilities
•Prepares checks, maintains & forwards staff attendance & overtime details to Payroll Department as per schedule and follow-up with the same with concerned staff in the HO
