Reporting to the Project Manager / Construction Manager in pursuance of assigned job.
Study the project scope of work and liaise with planning department to prepare and finalize the project execution plan (PEP).
Estimate the resource requirement like manpower, equipment & material as per the scope of work (SoW) and project execution plan (PEP).
Assemble a team and assign groups to activities on priority basis as per available work-front and allocate required resources.
Assist the Material Control Department (MCD) with material specifications for procurement of material that belongs to sub-contractors scope of supply.
Monitor the site physical progress so as to ensure proper execution of schedule.
Coordinate with the main contractor & client regarding technical clarifications or modifications. Prepare modification red mark-up and as-built drawings and submit for approval.
Prepare & submit daily, weekly & monthly progress reports internally to project control department (PCD), and also to client for invoicing purposes.
Raise Inspection Notification (IN) for the completed work-front to ensure that quality standard and technical specifications of the client has been met.
Assisst quantity surveyor to prepare monthly invoice payment for the quality inspected site physical progress achieved.
Assist the Human Resource (HR) team by conduct technical interviews for recruitment of direct and indirect manpower.
Hire sub-contractor if and when required during several stages of the project.
Hold tender meetings & award the tender to the best suited entry.
Submit Request for Approval of Material (RAM) to the client to ensure that the material meets the required quality standards.
Prepare work method statement (WMS) prior to execution of each critical activity before job execution.
Provide technical solutions if and when required that arise due to difficulty in execution of contractors deisgn.
Study the project contract so as to be aware of any deviations or addition in project scope of work (SoW).
Prepare cost proposal & day work sheets for any additional job requirements additional to the scope of work & re-work due to changes in the engineering drawings by contractor respectively.
During my service as Electrical Maintenance Engineer of three Tea Factories at Vandiperiyar group of Harrison’s Malayalam Company.
The G.E.F at factories is with the charge of five 11 KV/ 440 V electrical transformers, D.G sets, different type of induction motors such as (0.5 Hp up to 40 Hp), 10 Hp to 75 Hp different pumps, starters and capacitors etc.
