My role as Mechanical Engineer is to oversee the complete M&P Design and execution works such as HVAC, Plumbing, External Drainage piping systems & Fire fighting systems.

Responsibilities:-
• Review the scope of work, method statements, construction drawings, material submissions, test results, specifications and respective drawings to ensure the availability of complete and adequate information.
• Provide an assessed response to CONTRACTOR queries by analysing, diagnosing and using professional judgment.
• Reviewing the Technical Material submission and Shop of all M&P related works before execution at site.
• Familiar with international codes such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, DW, IPC & NFPA.
• Inspect the quality of work carried out by the supervisors and contractors and check for any deviations in executing the plan.
• Inspect the site as per IRF raised by the contractors.
• Ensure Quality control and assurance in construction by timely inspection and audits.

GHD are the nominated Engineers for the complete Palace Packages at Al Wajba, Doha, Qatar.
My role as Mechanical Site Engineer is to oversee the complete M&P works such as HVAC, Plumbing, Elevators, External Drainage piping systems, welding for chilled water pipe lines & Fire fighting systems.


Responsibilities:-

• Assist with and support the Project Manager in the delivery all elements of Project Scope.
• Consults with project Manager and other Project Engineers with regards to scope of work.
• Ensure that the Contracts are properly managed and participate in day to day CONTRACTOR management.
• Provide an assessed response to CONTRACTOR queries by analysing, diagnosing and using professional judgment.
• Ensure Quality control and assurance in construction by timely inspection and audits.
• Review the scope of work, method statements, ITP’s, construction drawings, material submissions, test results, specifications and respective drawings to ensure the availability of complete and adequate information.

My role as Mechanical Site Engineer is to oversee the complete M&P works such as HVAC, Plumbing, Elevators, External Drainage piping systems, Welding for chilled water pipe lines, Blasting & Painting of Fuel tanks & Fire fighting systems.

The system will have the capacity to handle 12 Million Passenger per annum with the facilities to increase to 24 Million passengers with minimum disruption to the operation of the airport.

Duties primarily include Quality Control of HVAC systems as per Qatar Petroleum (QP) Standards.
Other duties are as stated below in detail:

Responsibilities: -

• Implementation of all HVAC related works as per ITP (Inspection & Test Plan) and Method Statement.
• Inspecting HVAC Units such as Chillers, Packaged A/Cs, Ducted Split Units, Make Up air unit (MAU), Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV), Variable air Volume (VAV), Variable refrigerant Volume (VRV), Evaporative Cooling Unit (ERU), Exhaust Fans, Diffusers and Grills stored in open yard and to verify all the equipment’s are free from physical damage and properly protected.
• Proper documentation work to be carried out for the material received at site and to raise RFI (Request for Inspection) for QP (Qatar Petroleum) approval.
• Inspecting all MEP works such as HVAC, plumbing, Elevator, External Drainage systems, Blasting & Painting of Fuel tanks, Fire Fighting & welding of chilled water pipe lines.
• Familiar with international codes such as ASHRAE, SMACNA & NFPA.

Design Engineer-HVAC at Al-Suroor United Group

Project: Design and Installation of Energy saving product of HVAC systems to Trane and Carrier
Chillers.

Responsibilities:

Installed Energy Saving Equipment’s in SAUDI ARAMCO for their TRANE chiller of 140 Tons Capacity with 2 variable screw compressor and 110 Tons chiller of CARRIER make with 4no’s of Reciprocating type compressor. A trial was conducted for a period of 6 months and it was observed that the energy saved in both the chillers was around 18-20%. SAUDI ARAMCO was carrying out test for the energy saved by installing a separate energy meter with the software for both the chillers main control panel board and was recording all the parameters such as Hourly KWH, Hourly KVAh, PF, V, W, I and HZ for the particular day and was comparing it with Energy Saving Equipment(ESM)system.


Client: King Fahd Military Medical Complex
Location: Dhahran
Project: Design and Installation of Energy saving product of HVAC systems to Trane and Carrier
Chillers.

Responsibilities:

Installed Energy Saving Equipment in KING FAHD MILITARY MEDICAL COMPLEX for their CARRIER Chiller with the capacity of 120 TONS having three reciprocating compressor. A trial was carried out for a period of 2 months and it was observed that the energy saved in Chiller was around 18-22%.

• Checking all the parameters in Generator Hall such as Stator, Rotor and Coolers temperatures, cooling water inlet pressures, Upstream and Downstream pressures and total load of the Power Generating Station.
• Giving all the details from the Control Room to the Distribution Station regarding the days power generation, peak Load for the day, water consumption, plant availability factor, generation loss, auxiliary consumption and the detail description regarding of the failure in the generators in case any problem occurs on the particular day.
• Checking the parameters in Turbine Floor for every hour such as cooling Water inlet pressure, bearing temperatures and checking the temperatures in Unit Transformers and Auxiliary Transformers.
• Starting and shutting down of the Generator units according to the information received from the distribution station.
• Responsible for preparing log book of power generated per day.
