My PhD thesis looked into the dominant approaches to culture teaching in Iran and Sudan and I set forth a new approach as a viable alternative to the existing ones. Similarly, the new approach is concretized in a four-level English coursebook which is currently taught in five different language institutes in Tehran
The crux of my master's thesis was critical pedagogy where I investigated EFL teachers' awareness of critical pedagogy. Likewise, during my master's program, I co-authored a sociolinguistic paper that was presented in two international conferences: Monash, Australia and Niagara Linguistic Society, US.
I finished my BA in three years as I managed to take 24 credits every semester. For this reason, I was awarded a scholarship to study master's degree in TEFL which eventually led to PhD in TEFL as well.
