Job summary:
- To assess client’s needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with health care team members.

Principal duties:

• Performs a variety of supportive and technical nursing skills and utilizes a range of equipments when carrying out specific medical and nursing performance of specific treatments, monitoring techniques and other diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive measures.

• Plan nursing care management and anticipate possible complications that may arise for this particular patient and take immediate corrective actions if any complications happen.
• Do investigations decided for patient assigned under his/her care in correct way and proper time with follow up of investigation results and immediate notification to the concerned physician, and documentation.
• Revise the list of medications for the patient in every duty by the responsible nurse for any medication unavailability and inform the concerned medical staff for proper management.
• Take necessary precautions for any medications given to the patient.
• Careful reading of the drug leaflet and follow doctor's instructions.
• Submit notification for any drug side effects, adverse reaction or medication error to concerned consultant and document in patient record.
• Strictly follow policy for restricted drugs
• Proper handling of department equipments usage (Cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance and storage) with application of all safety measures.
• Assist medical staff in every procedure whenever required.
• Adhere to infection control policy.
• Responsible to keep area around patient clean and tidy all the time.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patients/staff communications.
• Assist with the discharge procedure, including discharge instructions.
• Assist through interpretation in the presentation of in-service and educational programs.
