Presently Involved in overall project planning & management of 4 MTPA Zinc Beneficiation Plant at South Africa for Vedanta Zinc International.
Also worked on the following projects:
a) Planning for TATA Steel Kalinganagar Ph-II upgradation project.
b)Project manager for augmentation engineering for TATA Steel Pellet Plant
c) Project manager for upgradation of 'I' Blast Furnace TATA Steel
d) Project manager for feasibility study of Water Treatment Plant Upgradation at West Bokaro, TATA Steel.
Job responsibility includes preparation of project execution procedure, Project resource plan, Project quality plan, Resource and cost loaded schedule preparation & updating, Generating early alert for delayed and critical activities, Project progress report, weekly progress report, monthly progress report, billing report, Presentation for higher management and many more.
Working with M N Dastur& Co. (P) Ltd as Engineer- Electrical in the field of Project Planning & Project Monitoring in construction/ Augmentation of new as well as existing facilities under the Expansion Projects at Tata Steel Plant.
Involved in planning & monitoring for following projects of TATA STEEL:
a) New Steel Melt Shop#3
b) Thin Slab Continuous Casting & Rolling
c) Pulverized coal injection plant installation at H-Blast Furnace
d) Pulverized coal injection plant up gradation at F-Blast Furnace
e) Pulverized coal injection plant up gradation at G-Blast Furnace
f) Major shutdown Project for installation of Multi Profile Gauge at Hot Strip Mill
g) Vessel revamping at LD shop#1
t) Coke oven Booster motor replacement & up gradation
u) Road Logistics
v) Rail Logistics
w) Skin Pass Mill at Tata Steel Bara Cold Rolling Mill Complex
Role & Responsibility:
- Preparation of Baseline Program for project as per the scope of work using Primavera / MSP.
- Developing of detail construction schedule (L3, L4) in line with the baseline and monitoring on regular basis. Updating the schedule and reviewing the schedule jointly with client and contractor.
- Integration of the various Project Schedules given by various agencies for various zones to maintain a single schedule for monitoring.
- Co-ordination with design department for necessary inputs required by them from site and also following up with concerned designer regarding required drawings and inputs.
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly progress report and also exception report based on the detailed program and discussing jointly with all concerned.
- Working in close coordination with the execution team to identify and raise technical queries to remove any bottlenecks that may hampers the overall progress
- cross functional project coordination at different levels with various vendors to ensure smooth flow of work.
- Monitoring of project progress using Float analysis, SPI, CPI & Earned Value analysis.
- Preparation & submission of various MIS reports like Progress Reports, S-Curve, various project network reports like ciritical activity network, one month/three month/siz month look ahead report etc. through Project Management Software - Primavera6/MSP and submitting to the Department Heads, Client.
- Preparation of detail documents for extension of time (EOT) for the project and co-ordinating with client for approval for time extension.
- Logging all the delayed activities along with the reason for delay in Delay Register for future references.
