- Handling all bulk shipments imported via Jizan port / RED SEA PORT ( bulk cargo, raw materials DRI / HBI )
- Tracking the cargo shipping documents & arranging necessary collection from bank & following up with custom broker until getting the cargo clearance
- Preparing the necessary undertakings ( under deposit letter, original documents undertaking , … ) to be addressed to customs authorities
- Preparing the necessary exemption list & submitting to MCI for their final approval
- Arranging the necessary Refunding request after getting the exemption approval from MCI
- Perfect handling of bulk cargo vessels by keeping good coordination with different parties; port authority, custom authority, stevedoring company, ect …
- Responsible for selection of suitable vessels, by checking all vessels specifications (ship’s particular), vessel's certificates (ISSC, cert of compliance, gear certificates..)
- Responsible for Checking & approving for necessary charter party between owner & charterer
- Responsible for measuring the performance of suppliers performing different activities from ship fixing to closing of ship’s account after demurrage /despatch settlement
Arranging for all necessary transportation from port to plant & arrange all required documents necessary for loading
- Handled on the average 15 tankers and 3 general cargo vessels per month at Jizan ports.
- Successfully handled the above no. of tankers/cargo vessels by keeping good coordination with principals/charterers / SAUDI ARAMCO during a short stint.
- Responsible to handle of shipping operations and central communication related to all shipping activity such as import documentation, and cargo claims matter, notices to consignees and co-ordination with terminals and port operational staff.
- Communicating with port authorities for vessels operations activities and reporting to respective principals/vessels operator/managers & charterers.
- Deals/handles all cargo with the consignees & cargo underwriters / local correspondents as well as with the stevedores/port authorities.
- Preparation of documents and electronic submissions, the calculation and payment of taxes, duties and excises, and facilitating communication between government authorities (custom, port, ect...)and importers / exporters
- Preparing & following the subsidy files for some imported cargo with concerned parties.
Handling of Cargo activities, reporting to respective principals, coordinating with terminals for movement of cargo, providing stowage for discharging and loading to port operator in consultation with master of vessels. Releasing delivery orders to consignees against Bill of leading and collecting detention charges for payable to respective principals. Sending notice to consignees for arrival of their shipments by fax messages. Preparing daily / weekly report of cargo activity to fulfill the requirements of all principals
