Reporting to the Project Director, I am responsible for managing the team of Engineers, Inspectors, contractors, sub-contractors in Oman for my project, & Abu Dhabi, Global Design team in India for construction, project management, designing, engineering and deployment of converged ICT, ELV and technology systems and solutions.

Major responsibilities involve Client & contractor Engagement, liaise with local authorities for submissions, approvals and final hand over of facility, Project management, assessing and understanding Client requirement to meet the demanding targets in terms of budget, quality, and operation requirement of design and construction management of project.

Other responsibilities include skill sets far ranging from due diligence, feasibility studies, Raising RFI to client, conducting technical review workshops, Technical Reports, security risk management, balance scorecard creation to core skill sets which include the development of project proposals, scope of work definition, cost analysis, design & implementation management to final completion of the design development.

Other design responsibilities involved preparation of Strategic Plans, Feasibility and Design reports, Technical and Commercial Recommendation Reports, Value Engineering exercises to meet the client’s budgets, Scope of works, cost analysis and implementation of complex ICT, ELV and Security to deliver the project.

Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent. Compiling lesson learnt and briefing Head of Department (HOD) & updating Lesson Learned register.

Responsible for inspection & approval of ELV & ICT systems overall of 25 system worth 65 million US$. Approving MAS & technical documentation, drawings; Responding RFI from contractor, Conducting FAT & SAT tests, Raising FON & NCR for system installation for any non-compliance to specification.

Worked as Senior ELV Engineer managing the execution of ICT, Fire, BMS, Security, Airport special system for Muscat International Airport. In this role, I had the overall responsibility for Design, Engineering and execution of security, ELV/ICT & Airport special system for Airport. Managing internal and external stakeholder expectations, managing sub-contractors and their employees to deliver against the tight schedule, proving management with the insight on achieving project milestone, billing, collections on a monthly basis and ensuring that the project objective are met in terms of resource optimization and increased gross margin on project closure.

Other Major Job responsibility includes:
• Provide management with reports on monthly basis for all ELV & ICT systems including project financials like Billing, Accounts receivables, and cash flows statements.
• Preparing and updating the risk and opportunity register with mitigation plans on weekly basis and providing the information to the PMO office for preparing management deck for project activities as requested by the management.
• Assign and optimize resource for carrying out the engineering, Construction site supervision and commissioning activities.
• Ensure the Engineering, Procurement, installation and T&C works are carried out in accordance with the scope and as per the program of works.
• Closely work with the customers and clients to ensure all project activities are in line with the construction program and modify plans as per the requirement of the project and meet the project milestones.
• Work closely with various departments internally within Bechtel, Enka & BEC join venture for effectively managing the project and the stringent requirements.
• Conducting HSE & QA/QC check for carrying site construction. Coordinated with client/airport operational team for training & hand over of MEP system for ORAT.

Managed a team of project construction and commissioning engineers, Sub-contractors responsible for design, project management, execution, testing and commissioning of ELV, ICT & Airport special System projects in Shanghai & Doha and working towards meeting the company targets for revenues and profitability.

Involved in the execution and implementation of prestigious project like Hamad International Airport and Shanghai Disney Resort & Theme park which includes vertical segment like Hotels, Commercial building, Studios, data center, theater, rides, restaurants and mixed used developments with total project contract value of 5.7 Billion US $.

Participated client/consultant meeting for reviewing progress, planning & technical workshops. Ensuring site activities are carried out with best practice in terms of HSE and advising team for any changes required.

Responsibility also involves
• preparing cost estimation, project schedules, value engineering, risk assessment, track budgets, managing and negotiating change order from the documented scope of works, variance budget analysis on a monthly basis and internal procedures for project close-out and handover of the system to the client and service department.
• Provide all the necessary information to the contracts / finance department for preparing the Interim Payment Application (IPA) to maintain positive cash flow.
• Discuss with the planning engineer to put a realistic implementation plan for each project and ensure that the progress is updated on a regular basis for reporting and claims related to Extension of Time (EOT) and Acceleration if required.
• Ensure and streamline the project execution works by ensuring standardization formats and templates reducing the cost, time and effort by the engineers and project team.
• Discuss with direct reports on their goals and career development and any provide them with feedback during half yearly and yearly review to grow and develop their skills further to meet company objectives.
• Analyze change request impacts to schedule, budget, and resources for works out of contractual scope and resolve disputes with key stakeholder that arise during the project implementation.
• Providing monthly executive reports to the management on individual project being handled with the project forecast and cash flow projections for the month.

Worked as a Project Engineer in Clean Room/ Industrial Department with Singapore operations involved understanding the customer requirement, attend kick-off and progress meeting, project planning, budgeting and scheduling of projects, development of logics to accomplish the control sequence, Testing and Commissioning with complete handover of the system with stringent control requirements for pharmaceutical and clean room atmosphere. Participated in negotiation, finalization of vendor.
Worked as Project Lead for Pune operations and major responsibility involved working closely with the Engineering Manager to establish engineering requirements, development of customized solutions, schedules, Design, construction and testing and commissioning of Fire alarm & fire suppression system, ICT, CCTV, Security Access Control system and Building Management Systems. Job responsibility also involved coordination with Technical Support group in Singapore for special projects and customer requirements. Provide technical support to sales and estimation teams and provide suggestions for complex design issues.

Responsible for Project Management for large scale integration projects for property developers in UAE & Qatar. With major focus on providing integration concepts and deploying technologically advanced systems to substantially reduce the OPEX and have a continuous source of revenue for completed development with shorter ROI. The intelligent buildings solutions are based upon converged IP systems using open framework concept with scope for unlimited possibility of integrations. Major Job responsibility includes:
• Business Development activities for promoting integration concepts to the property developers/ clients with emphasis on proving a sustainable environment with energy saving.
• Manage the project and engineering teams to meet project requirements in terms of scope, time and budget.
• Responsible for managing the project and the stakeholder in accordance to the contractual requirements of the project.
• Responsible for optimum utilization of resource to meet the project schedule.
• Analyze change request impacts to schedule, budget, and resources for works out of contractual scope and resolve disputes with key stakeholder that arise during the project implementation.
• Monitors and controls operations/ budget so as to achieve the targeted turn-around time, productivity, quality standards and higher margins.
• Provides the insight of the project to the executive management and mitigates any risks that arise during the implementation of the project.
• Provide necessary reporting to the stakeholders and executive management on the project progress and escalate any issues to the technical or engineering teams to meet the customer expectations.

Worked as Subject Matter Expert with Indian & UAE operations and managed a team of engineers and graphics designers to provide engineering services for IBMS. Responsibility also included providing engineering support and developing of custom application for special interface requirement for all major projects in UAE & India. Provided remote support for team in Singapore & Thailand for IBMS

Primary responsibility involved submission of tender for Robots and PLC System based on tender specs. Preparation of technical submittal and cost. Installation, Testing and commissioning of robots, control panel wiring & PLC programming
