Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sterlite Energy Limited, which is a part of Vedanta Resources Plc, a London listed metals and mining major with interests in aluminum, copper, zinc, lead, iron ore and commercial energy and having a turnover of over USD 6.6 billion. TSPL is setting up INR 10, 000 Crores, 1980 (3x660) MW coal based supercritical coal based power plant, a largest Greenfield power project on Build, Own and Operate basis.
Responsibilities
➢ Securing coal linkage, Fuel Supply Agreement, Rail Transportation and extensive liasoning with Ministry of Power, Ministry of Coal, CEA, Coal India Ltd and other government bodies like Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd.
➢ Responsible for setting up operations for coal sourcing and logistics
➢ Filing and responding to petitions for improving project viability and censuring coal availability at Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission
➢ Contract management and dispute resolution of EPC contractor SEPCO-1, China
➢ Logistics and material management of equipment of entire 1980 MW supercritical power plant from China
➢ Contributed towards availing Mega Power Policy benefits
Achievements
➢ Recognized as "STAR of business" and therefore given additional responsibilities
➢ Got appreciation for senior management for Project Logistics of 1980 MW Talwandi Sabo Power Plant.
➢ Got the Thermal Power Plant registered as Mega Power Project for availing Zero customs duty Benefits. Also successfully managed entire logistics of 1980 MW Talwandi Sabo Power Limited and was awarded the CEO Kitty for the same.
