Managing a multi million dollars HR & Organization Transformation project for a public entity in KSA

Managing the HR Department at Astra Industrial Group Head Quarter, as an outsource assignment by Philadelphia Consulting, to implement HR policies and processes, Transfer Knowledge and Coach the current team. In this assignment I achieved:
• Running day to day HR & Employee Relations transactions and activities.
• Building the capability of six current HR employees directly reporting to me in the Head Quarters, by coaching, counselling and training them.
• Reviewing the HR policies and simulating the HR processes with the HR headquarter staff plus the HR staff in the local subsidiaries as part of the communications and change plans in order to get their buy in and understanding to help in communicating it to the rest of employees. We also used those review and simulation sessions to enhance the policies and processes and eliminate any inconsistencies.
• Communicating new processes and policies to the employees whenever possible/applicable as per the approved communication plan.
• Discussing and agreeing with the VP and the President on the HR Strategy Vision, Mission and Objectives. I also participated the HR some of the HR staff in cascading HR Objectives and Creating Initiatives for the short and long term.
• Enhancing Performance Management process by removing unnecessary steps and making it more efficient and provides better alignment with corporate objectives, then we started implementing the new process by initiating it and coaching managers on how to cascade objectives and develop SMART objectives and start the performance regular discussions with employees.
• Reviewing, enhancing, and implementing newly designed Org Structures by housing employees in new positions and job titles based on the agreement with the VP.
• Leading the communications regarding new positions and compensation & benefits information for employees.
• Implementing newly developed Compensation & Benefits system and transferring employees to the new Salary Structure.
• Conducting Change Management workshops for the HR functions in AIG’s all subsidiaries and leading the overall communications for the HR implementation.
• Aligning newly developed HR policies & procedures with the new ERP system (SAP) that was being implemented at AIG by a third party vendor.
• Mapping / Designing new HR policies and submitting as a new requirement for SAP customization.
• Developing real data simulations for Employee Share Option Plan and Employee Thrift Plan in order to have it presented to the Board of Directors for approval.
• Knowledge transfer to the AIG HR team.

As a member of the Talent & Organization group, leading the HR Strategy & Transformation team in the Middle East, I have achieved:

• HR Implementation Specialist at TAQA (Khobar-KSA): A government funded energy investments and holding company that I’m handling their HR Department as Transitory period to establish it and ensure the development of HR policies and Processes and assist the business in recruiting the required talents and support the VP in implementing the HR Strategy.
• Successful Training Development and Delivery for eSight SAP project at Saudi Aramco (Dhahran - KSA) As the Training Lead impacting 1000+ employees: I had the privilege to work with a mixed team of Indians and Polish professionals and manage the effort successfully to develop 10 Web based training courses including voice over, and classroom training courses including 100+ simulations.
• 26 months role as the Process Change Lead for HR at Sadara Chemicals in Khobar (Sadara is a multibillion dollars joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemicals), and the engagement is regarding an SAP implementation (Transferring the Dow Technology to the new Sadara complex): I achieved the following:
o The design of a total of 30 HR processes which were approved and signed off by the client within 2 months assignment. The processes were based on a pre-approved and communicated Business Process Hierarchy covering 5 HR Scenarios (Manage Organization, Hire to Retire, Administer the Workforce, Manage Talent, and Manage Assets).
o Building and maintaining relationships with all HR stakeholders including the key stakeholders (VP and 8 department managers), that led to the full acceptance of the new processes and systems and a successful Go-Live. What I achieved in this specific assignment by managing the toughest client in that project was recognized by the management and I received a performance recognition and reward.
o Achieving the objective of building a Super User / Change Agents group within HR to be part of the Change Network, and implementing a strong communication and change plans targeting the Super Users and end users.
o Successful Training material development for around 50+ HR course (WBT & ILT), and the training delivery for 2 phases.
o Led the Organization Alignment for HR and was the contact person on ground when it comes to Organizational Alignment for all other tracks.
o Very smooth and successful training delivery for all tracks in wave 2 including all training logistics for 2 locations impacting 3000+ employee and delivering 100+ training session.
• Training & Organization Alignment Lead for an SAP implementation project at Abdul Latif Jameel Co. (Jeddah - KSA): my role as a member in the Change Management team was to lead the training development and delivery for all SAP modules being implemented for ALJ, and also manage the organizational alignment activities. I was also supporting communication and the Change Network activities, and leading communications and alignment sessions with business track leads to fix the HR data related to role mapping.
• I was also involved in a project in Kuwait for KNPC (Kuwait National Petroleum Company), my role was to conduct competency assessment for KNPC 400+ HR employees which involves role plays, case studies, individual interviews and presentations.
