• Previously performed as Chief Accountant for Pearl Azure Group (owning company of Crowne Plaza Dubai, Holiday Inn Downtown Abu Dhabi and Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi) which was previously asset-managed by NCTH until end of Year 2015.

• Reporting to Chief Finance Officer and Corporate Financial Controller

• Supporting the Corporate Financial Controller in the daily finance and accounts operations, including but not limited to resolution of any issues or queries from various third parties (hotel management, banks, insurance companies, etc.); managing and guiding staff accountants; ensuring compliance with loan facility covenants (interest and principal repayments, insurances, year-end audits, reports) and requirements by governmental authorities as applicable; and handling personnel files (monthly payroll transfer, year-end salary increments, maintaining payroll accruals);

• Safeguarding the company’s assets by ensuring that business transactions are properly recorded per IFRS/GAAP; GL accounts, intercompany accounts, and bank accounts are rightfully reconciled with all outstanding items cleared; receivables are collected and payables properly reviewed and verified; cash flows are adequate; CAPEX requests from hotels are checked; inventory is efficiently managed; and a system of policies and procedures as well as other internal controls are developed and implemented;

• Eliminating unnecessary and minimizing necessary risks by providing pricing and profitability analysis for marketed products; financial analysis and review on business operations; risk analysis for third party agreements, including commenting on and/or preparing discussion drafts thereof (i.e. loan facility agreements, hotel management and/or license agreements, project agreements (construction, consultancy, etc), franchise agreements, service agreements, etc.);

• Providing financial review, analysis and management reporting, including developing MIS reports to monitor KPIs; preparation of annual and monthly financials statements; preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow forecasts; preparation of ad-hoc financial feasibility and valuation reports; and preparing presentations for corporate governance report;

• Performing multiple roles (performing as finance officer in charge and business analyst of TMMCO Ltd Commercial Agencies; providing ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting and business support for Emirates Hotel Company; providing financial administrative support for The Private Office of the Chairman; and providing periodic executive assistance to the Chief Finance Officer);

• Providing ad hoc financial information and analysis as required

• Assisted the Vice President of RMU to set up the Credit Risk Section by:
- Taking charge of the Credit Risk portion of the Basel II Capital Adequacy Report as well as coordinating with the Basel II Task Force in implementing bank-wide Basel II compliance;
- Initiating the development of credit risk metrics and models to assist in validating the Internal Credit Risk Rating System of the Credit Management Group and recommending areas for improvement;
- Performing macro-level credit risk review on existing loans portfolio by manipulating bank wide data and branch submissions to identify various risk exposure levels at different categories and scenarios;
- Assisting the Vice President for the presentational information to the Management Committee;
- Investigating loan accounts, especially non-performing loans, as advised by the Credit Management Group to minimize credit and operating risks;
- Provided upward feedback on potential risk areas and identified gaps between the current practices and procedures;
- Generated In-House MIS reports for better functioning of the unit and obtain relevant reports from Credit;
- Prepared monthly risk metrics reports on Maximum Cumulative Outflow, Earnings at Risk, Value at Risk, to assess bank-wide liquidity risk and market risk;
- Used Bloomberg to gather data on financial markets’ and selected organizations’ performance;
- Analyzed and processed select cases received at Retail Credit Department are within the policy parameters and credit considerations;
- Identified and highlighted fraudulent activities thereby reducing risk exposure and increasing quality of analysis;
- Ensured accuracy of daily/monthly data capture for MIS reports;

• Providing ad hoc MIS reporting and financial analysis for market risk and operational risk section
