Job Role/Department: Operations management of building envelope, façade, glazing & cladding construction works. Projects: Midfield Terminal Building - New Abu Dhabi International Airport, King Abdul-Aziz International Airport / KAIA & Jeddah Railway Station Responsibilities: • Reporting to General Manager. • Ultimate responsibility for the delivery of the projects, develop and present a project strategy to the general manager for approval. • Primary point of contact with the Main Contractor / Client and his team. • Ensuring that the company health, safety, environmental and quality culture is communicated, understood and followed by all. • Review, verify and approve the project management plan, project quality plan, issue and implement as required under the contract. • Compilation of all method statements, risk assessments associated with all aspects of the works to be undertaken on the project. • Ensuring that there is effective planning and monitoring of the works and communicating this to the main contractor and his team in the format confirmed and agreed within the contract. • Ensuring staff development, staff abides by company procedures and in the event of any transgression invoke disciplinary action as may be allowed under the company rules and regulations. • Implement change as required promoting the company through innovation and good working practices as may be recognised through company quality reviews or industry standards. • Ensure all members of the project team are aware of their responsibilities and roles within the project and maintaining accurate site records. • Ensure that any action resulting from internal and external audits are effectively closed out within the designated timescales. • Review budget on a minimum monthly basis and agree / sign off a monthly P&L account with the project managers. • Overseeing and monitoring operational modalities to address non- conformities, and design solutions. • Evaluating tenders for sub-contractors and outsourced jobs. • Identify and manage any risks contained within the contract documents or identified at tender stage. • Advise Main Contractor in writing of all variations to the contract, recording clearly any delays along with consequential time and cost effects. • Regularly monitor with the project manager the status of the programme to ensure that the works are being progressed in line with the master programme and target programme developed.
Company Industry: BG&E Facades provides a proactive and innovative consulting service in the area of concept design, generic design, tender documentation & construction phases relating to shop drawings review, factory and site inspections; encompassing a team of Architects, Structural Engineers, Materials Science Specialists, Façade Designers and Building Physicists; enabling BG&E Facades to deliver a multi-disciplinary service to the clients.
Job Role/Department: Management Assigned as a Manager for Middle East market being executed on behalf of BG&E Facades.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake a review of the facade systems.
• Set up under guidance new systems as required.
• Undertake concept and schematic design of facade systems in conjunction with design team.
• Manage selected projects.
• Attend client / architect / main contractor / fabricator meetings; take minutes and prepare reports as required.
• Review facade shop drawings (curtain wall & window systems / facade cladding systems / precast etc.)
• Undertake factory fabrication inspections and prepare reports.
• Undertake site inspections (curtain wall & window systems / facade cladding systems / precast etc.) and prepare reports.
• Involvement in technical and marketing meetings.
• Prepare and present technical and marketing presentations in conjunction with appropriate team.
• Maintain and develop network of clients to further the generation of business.
- Identify appropriate aluminium system for projects when not specified.
- Apply extensive knowledge of aluminium & glass in estimating to ensure the materials met the criteria of
The project.
- Make and attend meetings with suppliers.
- complete study to any local, international and custom design aluminium & glazing system including the cost analysis of the aluminium sections, fittings and accessories.
- Read the specification and the B.O.Q carefully; highlight the important and tricky details.
- Quantity survey by quantifying the aluminium doors, windows, curtain wall, composite panel cladding and roofing from the architectural layouts, bill of quantities, doors & windows schedule.
- Preparing of the time program (by Microsoft project) based on the master program which has to be provided by the builder (Production and installation).
- Preparing of the transmittal based on the contractual specifications.
- Giving an economic proposal for the section details.
- Co-ordinate with the Procurement Manager to issue the purchase orders for each project.
- Liaise with the architects, builders & clients.
- Cost control, invoicing and chasing the payments.
Assigned as a Commercial Manager for aluminum & glazing construction works being executed on behalf of SCHUECO (Germany), Reynears (Belgium) & Installux (France)
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for keeping the existing supply chains effective and establishing new ones, keeping tabs on the applicable logistics, new market trends and catering to the latest.
• Spearheading crucial projects by coordinating laterally between diverse technical teams and vertically across management hierarchy to seamlessly implement - project roll outs, management systems and process enhancements.
• Collating and analysing data pertaining to various performance and business parameters to plan and effect turnkey business solutions, aimed at enhancing profitability, throughput and system responses.
• Overseeing and monitoring operational modalities to address non- conformities, and design solutions.
• Managing inventory levels, to control costs meeting production targets and effectively managing quality and costs.
• Evaluating tenders for sub-contractors and outsourced jobs.
• Laying out plans and overseeing execution of installation of aluminum & glazing.
