Responsible for the operation and readiness of +900 vehicles with a value of over 250
MEGP.
- Select new vehicle types and specs, administer the induction and distribution by managing
the preparation and licensing processes and ensure the vehicle complies with standards
before end-user delivery
- Approve or reject salesforce monthly deductions after reviewing monthly/annually reports
(Maintenance - traffic fines - accidents)
- Track and maximize the fleet utilization/profitability by doing the necessary reallocation
based on truck productivity (KPIs) and generate periodic reports
- Set, establish and develop fleet policies, rules, and regulations
- Review, monitor and update fuel consumptions standard rates for all types of vehicles to
maximize the efficiency and theft control
- Develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships (Trucks -
Trunks), and set new specs based on sales needs
- Communicates maintenance and licensing requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and
fleet availability by scheduling, prioritizing and liaising with the maintenance department
- Monitor and ensure fleet operation integrity and safety in compliance with local rules and
regulations, develop and implement operational standards to maintain fleet by advocating
best practices in the industry.
- Negotiates service agreements to ensure cost efficiencies and assists in the development of
maintenance budget by providing input relative to policy, costs, and established metrics.
- Monitor, assess and develop the performance and quality of fleet maintenance operations
(inside and outside workshops) also, ensure the maintenance is performed according to
standard and recommend schedule adjusting
- Lead corrective actions by analyzing the root cause of vehicle repeated breakdowns or
accidents and establish technical countermeasures or defensive driving training
topics/sessions to eliminate the number of cases.
- Oversees and maintains the fleet appearance across the DCs and schedule fleet renovation
plan.
- Implement a fleet management information system project, for recordkeeping, analysis,
evaluation and report generation for vehicle maintenance, repair history, operation metrics,
and life cycle decision making
- Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other
departments.
Main achievements:
- Raising the fleet value and appearance by renovating more than 70% of the fleet trucks in
18 months.
- Reduced truck depreciation by developing rules for trucks handling within the team.
- Reduced the number and severity of accidents within the fleet by developing new driving
test standards and conducted several defensive driving sessions across the DCs also
participated in the 2017 GB Auto defensive driving campaign.
- Enhanced the maintenance schedule and the fuel consumption rates to match the heavy-duty
working conditions.
- Reduced sudden breakdown cases by teaching the user how to check the trucks as a user
also organized several preventive maintenance campaigns for the DCs.
- Reduced the conflicts between sales, maintenance, and admins teams by developing
policies and procedures to match the real cases.
