Roles & Responsibilities
• Understanding the functional requirements from clients, creation of technical documents
• Data analysis and cleansing to ensure data quality using Advanced Excel (data validation, power query, etc)
• Finding data correlation between different tables for data integration using Informatica. Preparing Visio diagrams to visualise the architecture
• Developing ETL mappings using Informatica 9.1 to integrate and populate data from various source systems to different interfaces after complex logical transformations (Aggregation, Filter, Multiple lookups, Sequence Generator, Router, Joiner etc.)
• Performance tuning by identifying bottlenecks in the flow, like reducing the time taken to execute source query, and following the Informatica best practices
• Conducted code reviews to ensure quality of the code
• Created reusable mappings to check source and target count.
• Preparation of data visualizations using Tableau to analyse the data. Knowledge on creating sets, groups, calculated fields, parameters. Worked on data blending, join etc.
• Used the visualizations to analyse alerts generated and provide insights to business stakeholders
• Identifying workflow dependencies for scheduling using Control M
• Good experience in Oracle 10g, Unix, SQL
• Involved in deployment of code to various environments like INT, UAT, PROD. Preparation of reusable migration documents. Involved in unit testing and defect fixing
o Shell-Trade Reporting
• Participated in the development of project plan, preparing PowerPoint presentations on solution
• Took ownership of the entire development activities for Trade Reporting and ensured timely delivery
• Data analysis using Informatica Data Analyst tool for profiling data
• Created unix script to check data availability at the source
• Created reusable unix script to automate the code deployment to other environments which reduced the time and effort of manual workflow deployment
• Created ETL mappings using Informatica by extracting data from different sources and then transforming and integrating them, did quality checks by performing code review.
• Created reports on trade data of Shell using Qlikview charts and other objects (list, button, input box, line etc). Knowledge on various Qlikview functions and scripting basics.
o Shell- Production Support
Roles & Responsibilities
• Worked on 24*7 production support for Trade Reporting, Trade Monitoring
• Interacting with clients to help them understand, analyse data
• Created excel report using pivot tables, charts etc. to analyse daily KPIs
• Conducted knowledge transfer sessions to both technical and non-technical audiences on the ETL frameworks for TM and TR
• Experience in troubleshooting, incident management and handling user requests using SM7
• Working knowledge in SSIS, transformations, debugging and deploying packages, monitoring data loads, fixing errors
• Thorough knowledge in SSRS report creation to provide support for a shell application which is used to monitor chat between traders. Used tables, parameters, matrix, lists, charts etc. to create reports
• Knowledge on SSAS, OLAP cubes, data mining
• Experience in data cleansing, converting unstructured data into structured data and creating visualizations using Power BI, analysing the visualizations and deriving useful outputs for the business. Knowledge on data models and DAX
