• Coordinated for both Sea and overland shipments.
• Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability.
• Maintain SOP (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routings/services/carriers.
• Participate in quoting for Export (Sea & Overland), Import (Sea & Overland) and overseas requests.
• Coordinated with shipping line, transporting company, Local Market Drivers (Operational duties) for the export and import of shipments.
• The complete process of shipment includes arranging for pick-up or inland transportation, booking, document preparation (Commercial invoice, Export Order, Shipping instruction), Complete customs clearances by ensuring full compliance to any relevant regulations and making shipping line payments as well.
• Customer Service responsibilities include maintaining communication with vendor, shipper, customer, and shipping lines offices throughout the process and choosing proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs
• Following up the shipment by tracking and tracing until final destination and updating the customer accordingly.
• Involving in additional responsibilities in accordance with supporting a specific department(s) or be tasked with specific, individualized assignments.
• Resolve issues respective to meeting client requirements, data input - general customer service inquiries related to tracking & tracing.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and discrepancies against client SOP's.
• Complete process of overland import clearance which includes coordinating with the customs broker to the delivery of material to customer’s warehouse.
• Maintain the high level of data quality and make reports as per managements requests.
