The responsibility was to prepare for the agricultural season months in advance. Starting with planting by planning the type and area of crops by purchasing seeds, then repairing the tractors and their attachments, preparing supplies (enough food for the drivers, their assistants and field workers), appointing the drivers and their assistants, purchasing & transporting and storing fuel and then starting farming.
The harvesting order varies slightly, as it depends on the success of the crop; The greater the success, the more thorough preparation for harvesting operations is required.
Achievements depend on many factors, including the quality of preparation in terms of financing and implementation of the action plan.
During the period of my work, I harvested more than 3, 700 tons of white corn, equivalent to a current market value of $1.2 million, 128 tons of sesame, equivalent to a market value today of $0.256 million, and 400 tons of yellow and white millet, equivalent to $0.16 million. This is with very weak financing of no more than 25% of the minimum successful financing for the agricultural season.
Using statistics
I use statistics always in my job; in organic crops production I analysis the expected expenditures before season start, using different models to calculate the minimum predicted production under certain financing and then calculate the expected cash flow for the three season stages growing, de-weeding and harvesting at last I obtained a vision with some of simple prediction equations to expecte income by selecting which type of crops and much its areas we should plant to achieve specific or highest income.
In practical application during growing crops I continuesly matching the both the predict data and info to know the difference and study its to enhance the production even before its become really.
Also I use the seasonal informations as a data for next/future season, at the end I found that I know critical and ordinary factors that effect the production and how to play on them to do the right decisions at right time.
