Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify all the maintenance records and vehicle records to see that those are kept up regularly and up to date. The vehicle log sheets should be checked with the nature of works carried out in respect of each report complaint and the correctness of handling.
• Monitoring the breakdown, find out the correct reason of break down and corrective and disciplinary action taken. Recommending suitable remedies also
• Monitoring maintenance programs like Daily maintenance, weekly maintenance, monthly maintenance, fuel maintenance and tyre maintenance. Maintaining the vehicles in sound mechanical condition
• Analyzing the vehicle position and intimating off road or accidents etc to the concerned authority in time.
• Should re-arrange the required numbers of vehicles for the daily operation of the normal schedules are available to avoid cancellation.
• Ensure all the servicing repair and maintenance are carried out in correct manner and no buses long detained for want of units or repair keep good liaison with workshop.
• Conduct regular test checks and surprise inspection of month night shifts in the depots and improve the quality of work.
• The garage floor premises should be arranged to be kept clean. The scrap materials accumulating in the depot should be arranged to be sent to workshop.
• Exercise control over the issue and use of tools, lubricants and materials of all kinds and local purchase of materials and control over the man power utilization.
• Check the driving habits of the drivers, advise and correct and scientific handling immediately.
