· Network design, implementation, optimization, and operation of the bank’s data and telephony network.
· IT security team member with responsibilities for providing RnD services and configuration on Cisco ASA, PIX, Checkpoint FW and IDS systems.
· Design and implement the core network on Cisco 6509E L3 switches and the disaster recovery site to provide full network redundancy for the core banking services.
· Design, optimize and troubleshoot the security infrastructure.
· Migration of the 160 branch WAN network from a star topology to MPLS. For this project I had the responsibility of designing the topology, defining the Service Level Indicators, making the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, negotiating with vendors, evaluating the proposals, designing the migration, implementing and troubleshooting the network.
· Design and implement WAN optimization solution based on BlueCoat ProxySG appliances.
• Supervise the corporate support technical team and act as the contact point for more than 90 corporate customers from the public and private sector.
• Develop and manage SLA's and OLA's.
• Availability, Capacity and Demand Management.
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot the data and voice network of the ISP. The network consists of 60 Points of Presence all around Greece. The company provides Internet, MPLS, and voice services via dialup, DSL and leased lines.
•Manage and Troubleshoot the Frame Relay, ATM, and Ethernet network of the ISP.
•Project leader on network installations and upgrades for various customers, and responsible for ensuring the quality of the final product.
•Write thorough documentation for each project; reduce time needed to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs); manage equipment ordering process.
•Delegate projects to other team members and ensure their successful completion.
•Manage software upgrades across all Cisco platforms.
•Install and configure part of the core switched network of the National Bank of Greece, based on Cisco Catalyst switches 6509, 4006, and 2924.
•Install and configure the “Nikas” 6 point secure VPN network (Voice and Data), using 2600 and 1700 Cisco routers.
•Manage, install and configure Thessaloniki-Skopje Oil Pipeline 17-node optical network, based on Optical Access OSM400 routers. For this project I was trained on Access Mesh Networking by Optical Access.
•Migrate the Bank of Attica’s network. Install Cisco routers on more than 70 branches and 90 ATMs all over Greece. For the rollout of the project I coordinated several teams of field engineers, vendors, service providers, as well as configuring and troubleshooting the network. The technology used was Frame relay.
•Installation and configuration of Cisco network devices for the clients of the company.
•System administrator for the internal servers of the company (DNS, Web, File server).
•Installation, monitoring and maintainance of the company’s voice network.
•System administrator, responsible to install, configure and maintain the internal servers of the company.
•Configure and maintain the Public Key Infrastructure of Verisign.
