• Handle and manage all construction site and/or home office issues that related to subordinate staff.
• Daily bases oversight/supervision the Construction works, associated with the construction projects (all engineering disciplines).
• Provide technical review of project schedule, submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Ensuring and maintaining the safety of the job site and enforce safety standards and specs.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities of the USG (US Government) Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
• Supervise the Contractors’ quality control procedures and implement the quality assurance procedures in accordance with the International Standards.
• Managing and administrating the Construction Contract; schedule, provide advising on contractual and construction matters.
• Daily bases oversight/supervision the Construction works, Operation & Maintenance and installation associated with the construction projects (all engineering disciplines).
• Provide technical review of contractor’s project schedule, submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Liaison officer on behalf of the US Government with local authorities/host nation Government.
• Advise the Customers /Client of any site conditions or other circumstances affecting the cost (time and money).
• Attends Preparatory meeting, Initial and follow up inspections to verify that work is meeting the quality and technical standards specified in construction contract.
• Implement and review the testing & commissioning plan. Witness and verifies testing & commissioning as per approved plan, not only for electrical engineering discipline but for other engineering disciplines.
• Reviews contractor Request for Information (RFI’s) and provides recommendations and answers in a timely manner to insure progress and performance.
• Review and analyze the Contractor’s claims or REA’s (Request for Equitable Adjustment) and provide relevant report including the recommendation to process for the merit.
• Provide Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) guidance on construction issues through daily regular inspection of contractors work and ensure construction site safety, meet with health & environmental requirements and high quality product.
• Review & approval the Contractor payment request and process the payment on timely manner.
• Provide technical advising, Proposals evaluations and negotiations on behalf of the US Government. Process the change/variation orders.
• Manage receiving, handling and storage of construction material to verify that material comply with the approved material submittals.
• Prepare monthly reports, and provide technical presentations or accomplish presentation for the customers/clients as needed.
• Review Engineering design set (design drawings, design specifications and design analysis, ) to verify that the design is as per contract specifications, RFP (Request of Proposal)/SOW (scope of Work) and international relevant standards.
• Prepare the contract documents for bidding (which includes: scope of work, BOQ’s and contract specifications).
• Provided full-time consultation to ASEZA (Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority) management and other Government agensies on Facility planning and maintenance isssues.
• Prepared Mainteance SOP’s, and provide technical assiantance.
• Review and update all procedures and works instructions for relevant maintenance and ensure they are followed and applied.
• Provided training, coaching and mentoring to staff and technicians.
• Provided reporting and periodic presentations to senior management of the facility.
• Conduct long-term technology roadmaps and market research related to operation & maintenance systems and equipment.
• Conducted routine periodic emergency & evacuation drill, assisted the emergency plan and revised the plan if necessary.
• Prepared Expenditure Requests to obtain project funding.
• Coordinated engineering feasibility studies.
• Monitored, tracked and evaluated the work performance of all subcontractors to ensure that performance according to the contracted standards, due dates and cost restraints.
Provided expertise in wire telephony network design and troubleshooting.
•Worked with corporate users and PSTN service provider to analyze and resolve technical issues.
