Lead Project Engineer في Shell
  • المملكة المتحدة - أبردين
  • يونيو 2013 إلى أكتوبر 2014

In my Lead Project role I was primarily working on the Peterhead Carbon Capture and Storage Project (PCCS) in Aberdeen. This involved the capture of circa 1 million tonne/annum of CO2 from a gas turbine at Scottish & Southern Energies Peterhead Power Station, the compression & transportation of the CO2 via a 100km subsea pipeline for injection & storage into the (now depleted) Goldeneye field. This project was being delivered in collaboration with Scottish & Southern Energy (SSE). The client was the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC). The project was in the Define (FEED) phase which lasted for approximately 18 months. The Goldeneye Platform featured five suspended gas production wells, to be recompleted as injectors, with additional three spare slots for potential future CO2 injections wells. This was a “First of a Kind” project for the UK, and it involved on-shore, offshore (platform), and subsea elements. My role included close interface/liaison with the client and Shell partners ensuring specified deliverables were ‘mapped’ with the clients expectations, and appropriate assurance was utilised and conducted during each project phase within Shell’s guidelines and requirements. I originally participated in the ITT, for the FEED, and worked with procurement and contracts in choosing the successful contractor(s). I was responsible for ensuring the FEED deliverables executed by the contractor (Technip), match the PCAP expectations, and I provide input regarding deviations where necessary. I participate in Hazids and Hazops, and participate in risk workshops. In my interface capacity I co-ordinated the production and provision and utilisation of the PCAP (Project Control and Assurance Plan) under the DCAF (Discipline & Control Assurance Framework). I was responsible for producing appropriate CTR’s associated with the role, and coordinating the schedule and costs associated with the QA/QC works, and production of the Project Quality Plan.
