Working as a lead process engineer and technical authority (TA2) on the Carmon Creek Field Facilities scope which includes oil and gas wellpads, acid gas disposal wells, Casing vent gas, Cliffdale gas facility and pipeline, produced gas disposal wells and pipelines, natural gas pipelines and sour gas treatment facilities
Some of my job responsibilities during the project were as below:
Supervising and reviewing the engineering design in various engineering phases of the project, Pre-Feed, Define and Execute phases
Compilation and validation of existing gas plant data and developing basis of design for new project
Review and assurance of the gas plant technology vendors design for acid gas, gas dehydration plant and amine unit gas sweetening plant
Review and design the safeguarding system for Carmon Creek process facility including relief valve sizing selection, Instrumented protective function, SDVs and emergency blow down system
Development of safeguarding memorandum for field facilities including wellpads
Review and approval of process engineering deliverables developed by engineering contractor
Implementation of Shell DEPs, NFPA, ASME and CSA standards and codes
Conduct economic studies and cost analysis of various crude oil processing options and optimizing the process design by recommending alternative solutions
Coordination with all stakeholders on project to develop consensus on various design issues
Ensuring process design is safe to operate and fit for purpose
Early involvement in capital projects as part of the front-end-loading to address process optimization, heat integration and lessons learned.
Senior process engineer with sub-lead role on thermal heavy oil projects. Responsible for all process engineering activities including:
PFD and P&ID development
Equipment and instrument sizing
Preparation of instrument and equipment data sheets
Preparation of cause-and-effect diagrams
Participation in inter-discipline meetings
Preparation of other process engineering deliverables such as Process Control Narratives, operating philosophies, process studies
HAZOP reviews
Mentoring of junior and intermediate engineers
Process Modelling using Hysys
Worked as a Sub-Lead Process Engineer on sustainable projects for various clients including Moose Jaw Refinery and Nova Chemicals for plant revamping and debottleneck studies, plant safety integrity and validation and thermal rating evaluation of the refinery atmospheric section preheat train and overhead condenser and cooling system.

Worked as a PMC contractor for the client Apig KCO on the follow up engineering activities during construction phase of the project, This includes process related studies, optimization and design integrity review of 450 kbopd Agip KCO Kashagan green field project in Atyrau Kazakhstan. The project included design of three oil trains and two gas trains. Gas trains of the project include Gas Dehydration, sour gas sweetening, and dew point control and storage facilities. Oil trains include oil treating for crude oil stabilization, flash gas recovery and compression and storage facilities

Worked as a Process Engineer on medium and large scale projects related to enhanced oil recovery plant using propane gas. Some of the major job responsibilities are:
Carried out the modeling of process facilities using HYSYS for oil recovery and gas separation, heating and compression system
Support research and pilot plant projects that will enhance oil and gas recovery from reservoir and surface field processing
