Heading the General Insurance Claims team of the Company for East Africa comprising the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Mauritius.
The role involves complete overhaul of claims process and systems, liason with IT for upgradation of claims software, introduction of new software to enable paperless claims settlement and provide world class servicing to customers. Further to pursue all possible loss minimization measures, suggest Underwriting steps and providetraining and other steps to contain within targetted loss ratios.
The agenda also includes putting in place a dynamic MIS and reporting system.
Prior to this from 2010 till 2015 I was heading the Property and Casualty Claims for Universal Sompo General Insurance posted at the Corporate Office in Mumbai.
