Currently associated with Snamprogetti Saudi Arabia Comp. Ltd in managing the contractual aspects of Jazan IGCC-1 Onshore Project at their Jazan Refinery Complex. The project, by virtue of the complex nature, also includes performance testing of a Gasification Unit (GFU), a Soot Removal Unit and Ash (SARU), an Acid Gas Removal Unit (AGR) and a Hydrogen Recovery Unit (HRU) as well as six Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) trains, and related storage facilities.
Key Accountabilities
Claim management with client Saudi Aramco.
Change order management for vendors and/or Subcontractors.
Monthly reports to Saudi Aramco (Project Status Reports, Saudization levels etc.)
Contractual correspondences with Saudi Aramco and/ or Subcontractors on behalf of different functionalities like Commissioning Team, HSE Team, Construction Team, System Completion Team, IT Team etc.
Monitoring the sub-contractor performance and drafting agreements/ contracts for service packages for subject project.
Obtaining the necessary Variation Orders, Time extensions etc.
Managing the post award contract aspects of US$ 1.3 Billion project of EPC Package 4 of KIPIC (a new Subsidiary to Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC)) at their Al-Zour Refinery Complex as part of upgradation of their refining and petrochemicals operations and liquefied natural gas import.
The project is undertaken by Essar Constructions in JV with Saipem, Italy for 66 nos. Tankage EPC project.
Order processing and project co-ordination.
Inter team coordination between production, design and operation for projects undertaken until project handing over.
EPCIC of offshore E&P structures like FPSO/ FSO Towing & Installation, Platform Topside modification, Sub-sea Pipeline Transportation & Installation, Platform renovation, Construction of Ports, Berths & Jetties.
o EPCIC of SPOL A2 Well Head Platform Topside modification (Riser Balcony) at Iran
o Partially involved in Towing & Installation of FPSO Cyrus from UAE to South Pars Oil field in Iran
o Laying of 700 mtrs of sub-sea pipeline for HPCL at Vizag Refinery from OSTT to SS jetty
o Construction of North Cargo Berth at V.O Chidambarnar Port Trust, Tuticorin.
Products/Solutions offered by YBAK’s O&G division : Construction chemicals, pumps, valves, pipes & fittings, flow meters, R.O plants,
chillers and chiller package, fire pumps etc.
Key Accountabilities
Mainline responsibility for handling end-to-end contract administration activities Viz. Sales support & administration, estimation & costing, tendering & bidding, proposal submission, organizing and attending project kick-off meetings & other milestones of contract management
Be responsible for
Contract Management
o Maintaining records & documentation Viz. Contractual incoming/outgoing correspondence, changes etc.
o Reviewing main contracts, proposed terms and conditions by client/main contractor before signing
o Monitoring and Tracking the project progress, progress claims, changes in scope of works etc.
o Evaluating/verifying progress & variance claims prepared by QS for contract and ensuring submission to client
o Liaisoning with consultant, client and main contractors on contractual matters, delays, extension of time, variation orders, acceleration costs, advance payments, final settlement and project close outs etc.
o Follow-up
• For progress payments from main contractor
• Documentation of project insurance, performance bonds, advance payments etc. for awarded projects
• For request for quotations for necessary work trades for awarded projects
o Advising the management and preparation of contractual correspondence in awarded projects
o Preparing documentation of sub-contracts for awarded projects; Performance analysis, pricing comparison etc.
Proposal Preparation
o Preparing detailed BOQ take off, minor designs, man hour based working for the BOQ items
o Overall deployment of equipment, obtaining proper materials and subcontract prices
o Compiling proposal summary including all indirect costs viz., temporary offices, contract related expenses etc.
Tendering
o Reviewing tender documents, preparing tender review reports, pre-post tender documentation
o Evaluating quantity take-offs by QS for tendering, document compilation and ensuring timely submissions
o Managing Tendering process, analyzing and evaluation of Tender

Primary responsibility for handling end-to-end contract administration activities Viz. Costing/ Tendering, Business Development & Budgeting for execution of Projects undertaken by my division in the field of Cathodic Protection and also act as a Key Account Manager resulting in optimized project cost
Be responsible for:-
o Budgeting, cost control & strategic sourcing during project execution
o CP design for pipelines, tanks, bullets & concrete structures
o Analysing CP contract requirement for each projects and optimizing resource allocation
o Analysing tender documents to study customer requirements and CP specifications
o Supervising cost estimation of projects; Assessing/validating technical & commercial offer prepared
o Handling techno-commercial queries from customer - Key Account Management
o Participating in technical & commercial negotiations to conclude CP project deals
o Functioning as one point contact between client and Raychem for any post order queries/ contract management
o Preparing profitability analysis for projects under execution & timely report generation
o Coordinating with consultants/ site execution front for cost control
o Project site co-ordination and management of sub-contracts to ensure timely completion of projects
o Organizing kick off meetings to conclude open points prior to commencing of project execution
Additionally responsible for
Project Cost Controlling
o Calculating estimated revenue month on month; Comparing with actual revenue realized and finding deviations
o Calculating estimated profitability of every project and tracking loss making projects
o Identifying fixed bid overrun projects and initiating measures to culminate project cost overshoot
o Preparing business performance sheet
Managing PCPi (Project Customer Profitability index)
o Comparison of PCPi status of all the Running Projects every month
o Identifying the chronic sector/accounts
o Identifying reasons of low profitability and suggesting measures for improvement
Delivery Compliance
o Ensuring timely and correct Invoicing of every project/ contract
o Ensuring all the Project Management Specific Activities is complied
o Ensuring the gap to be minimized between billable and non billable assets
o Keeping a track on Accounts receivables and collecting the payment dues from customers
Generate various MIS reports for review by Sr Management
The aforesaid course pertains to processes and practices in Oil & Gas industry covering Upstream (Exploration), Midstream (Refining) and Downstream (Distribution) of crude and gas. The course also covered industrial practices followed by Oil producing companies, EPC Contractors with regards to contract administration and project management. NG Pricing, Oil marketing, Risk analysis, exploration and refining practices like VDU, FCCU, SRU etc were covered. The curriculum also had industrial visits to major Oil & Gas companies in the country like Indian Oil Corp (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL), Petronet LNG (PLL), Reliance Industries, Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) etc.
I had the privilege to study in a reputed college with a history of over 50 years.My sphere of study was Mechanical Engineering subjects like -Fluid Mechanics-1&2, Thermal Engineering-1,2&3,Mechanics of Solids-1&2,Engineering Mathematics etc.My aggregate was 65% and was well within the first 10 students in the college.
My stream of study was SCIENCE with Computer Studies.Other main subjects included were-Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English.My aggregate was 75%.
Had all subjects like Maths, English, Social ,Science & an elective language-Sanskrit.I was given an award for securing A+ grade for all subjects. My aggregate was 91%.
