of various Optical circuits/links such as SDH Rings, CWDM/DWDM Rings, GPON/OLT, & IPTV’s
and 2 mb links (coppper/coaxial) as per issued Optical circuit plans such as CPN, EPP WO (Work Orders) by laying cables (coaxial/fiber patchcords) ODF/EDF Racks to other ODF/EDF Racks or to Equipments and test.
Provide reports of this newly implemented circuit links.
•Troubleshoots all faults/alarms related to optical transmission networks & even Telco Equipment such as faulty card/hardware replacements (Huawei, Alcatel DWDM SDH Switches & Routers) and other planned activities with coordination on Transport Monitoring Center (TMC) Team, IPCore Ops & IPNOCs.
•Perform cable testing during night activities such as fiber Optic Cable repairing, rerouting, optical link shifting and restorations in coordination with Network Operations Center Team.
•Supervise vendor’s/contractors’ activities such as Telco Equipment Hardware/Software installations, upgrades, troubleshoots, cable pulling, ODF Installations inside Etisalat exchange/site.
•Supervise vendors’ ongoing preparations and migration of IPVPN links from Alcatel APE to Huawei APE.
•Collaborative participation to other Etisalat Team/Dept for activities such as Eng’g surveys and agreed meetings for standardization.
•Perform Acceptance for the newly installed DWDM Equipment, Switches, Routers and acceptance also for the newly installed junction/tie ODF undergoing joint testing with respective vendors to confirm best quality installation & complying to Etisalat Standards.
•Site Inspection inside exchange status in terms of cleanliness/orderliness of facilities, room temperatures
& other preventive maintenance to maintain Etisalat Quality standard.
•Attend Technical Trainings/Seminar to enhance/acquire knowledge and technicalities of new technologies
•Operates Testing Tools such as OTDR, 1G/10g/100g Analyzers, light Source and Power meter, UTP testers, LED tester for coax cables, Digital & Analog Multimeter for testing and troubleshooting activities
OSP contractors in terms of their OSP End-stage/project close-out requirements for Business As Usual (BAU) Projects. Coordination with OPS contractor’s project managers and organize cadence meeting
With collaboration to other direct involved departments such as Engineering & Operations.
•Provide weekly reports. Attending kick-off meetings, elucidate areas of responsibilities & different milestones by the contractors with agreed timelines.
•Great exposure on SPATIALNET GIS application as a daily worktool in Engineering Design, As-built Plan uploadings to FiMS (Fiber Management System) and conducting UAT (User Acceptance Test) on Uploaded AS-Built Plans of Fiber & Copper Projects (DWDM, 10GB AGG Links and Access links) completed by OSP contractor to update Globe’s Database on Fiber and copper networks.
•Knowledgeable on FTTH Eng’g and Construction (through Seminars and workshops)
•Performs Site Access Audit and Surveys on MSAN and Exchange sites for FOC path, ODF labels & facilities inventories. Analyzes core utilization of FOC. And conducts ODF Clean-up Activities to make-up free cores for special projects.
•Providing information on available FOC cores, GE/FE ports for AN/AG Nodes. Provide assessments results with compliance to Engineering guidelines and create documents for implementation (FIO) of Cable & Transport network deliverables.
•Test allocated ODF Ports on requested FIO’s(facility Implementation Order) to confirm readiness
Of its fiber core per project defined, and other services demand.
•Configure & provide Logical Mapping of Transport network deliverables (Data ckts and Wireless services such as LTE’s) using NMS TOOL-IPRAN
Subcontractors for Site Acquisition Group Coordination Prior to Site Surveying &
mobilization of RNE Site Survey. Updates Survey Reports
•Radio Frequency Investigation using Spectrum Analyzers with
Low Noise Amplifier And submits test results, reports, updates about Project Status
Respnsible in commissioning and integration of 3G Siemens Node, Nokia 3G WCDMA Flexi BTS.
•Troubleshoots or Perform Cable testing (VSWR, Return Loss, DTF using Anritsu Site Master); transmission testing (BER tester) and functionality/drive test of 2G and 3G sites, fault analysis,
•Performs probationary and final acceptance test of newly installed 3G nodes.
•Team leads in Implementation of Globe OSP Projects
•Site Survey in project area before and during field operation and Provides reports about the situation
•Requests materials needed, estimates budget and confirm manpower status
•Supervise and coordinates subcontractors for Aerial and Underground (Manholes) FOC lay-out
•Performs probationary and final acceptance of OSP projects, BOQ finalization and provides final reports/updates about project area plan
