On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is supporting the Pakistani government for introducing systematic energy management in selected cities for sustainable improvement of energy situation. The project supports its partner cities and municipal administrations to introduce Energy Management Systems (EnMS) for enhancing EE in the operations of selected institutions providing public services. I'm providing services to;
• Establish and uphold close relationships with the selected municipal Energy Teams and all further stakeholders in both provinces
• Support EnMS implementation and related activities in selected municipalities along with installation of monitoring tools for digital energy data management
• Documentation of all implemented activities, reports & social media reach

• Carrying out Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Initial Environmental Examinations (IEE) and Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) for diverse projects in the development sector such for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and in the Oil & Gas sector for MOL Group, Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), PGNiG, AECOM Technical Services, United Energy Pakistan Limited (UEP) and Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC)
• Managing and conducting Independent Environmental Compliance Monitoring, HSE Monitoring, Environmental Audits and Baseline Surveys
• Liaison with field HSE Advisors regarding site monitoring data, HSE Reports, Incident Investigation Reports, non-compliances and computation of monthly resources used
• Conducting EIA public hearings and personal hearing presentations
• Proactively communicating and coordinating with the necessary stakeholders including clients, project team, public, government departments and regulatory agencies for environmental compliance and processing of environmental approvals
• Providing guidance and advice to clients on environmental issues such as air pollution, wastewater discharge or hazardous waste management
• Part of HPK’s corporate audit team for managing and executing Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) surveillance and re-certification audit of HPK facilities

• Conducting environmental impact assessments, initial environmental examinations and environmental management plans for oil & gas, construction, health & energy transmission sectors in line with national, provincial and the World Bank standards and guidelines
• Managing and conducting baseline surveys, HSE monitoring surveys and stakeholders’ consultation surveys
• Implementation of EnMS ISO 50001:2018 for six industries (cement, fertilizer, oil & gas, automobile & auto parts) under UNIDO-GEF funded Sustainable Energy Initiative Project
• Carrying out Environmental Audits, Independent Environmental Monitoring, Energy Reviews/Analysis and Risk Assessments
• Negotiation with stakeholders (EPAs, clients, government departments) for compliance of environmental statutory requirements and proposing solutions on environmental problems
• Providing response to technical queries (clients/EPAs), managing EIA public hearings/presentations and processing environmental approvals from regulatory agencies
• Preparation of technical proposals to donor/national/international organizations for energy, waste management and environmental consultancy services
• Community engagement and development activities including tree plantation drives, environmental awareness sessions on climate change, water conservation and solid waste management
