1. Tender and proposal development of new projects assigned by higher management.
2. Evaluate waste management options and apply a waste hierarchy model to reduce, reuse, recycle, recover, and dispose of waste material.
3. Assist in budget preparation and administration, including determining financial methods, procedures, and costs for environmental compliance and waste management services.
4. Stay informed concerning waste management regulations (US-EPA) and ensure regulations are being adhered to.
5. Monitor the quality and performance of waste services, including contract management of external providers.
6. Developing solutions and mitigation strategies on waste management issues.
7. Oversee operational procedures.
8. Aim to meet waste reduction and recycling targets.
9. Develops, recommends, and updates waste management policies and procedures.
10. Deal with inquiries and complaints from members of the public both in person and by phone or email.
11. Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers.
12. Supervise operations team to ensure operational excellence and excellent customer services.
