Job Responsibilities: -
• Conducting Dead weight survey, sea trials, Inclining Experiment and Preparing Trim& stability Booklet
• Preparing Docking Plan, vessel shifting plan and Scantling calculations as per class requirement
• Concept Design and Hull structure modelling of yacht steelworks using Rhinoceros 3D
• Weight & COG Estimation
• Attending Client meeting & Preparing Concept/detailed designs meeting their requirements
• Preparing Hull & Outfitting drawings and ensuring they are in conformance with class and project requirement
• Preparing concept & basic design drawings to support ship classification and detail design activities.
• Providing Ventilation & Exhaust Calculations along with drawings
• Preliminary and detail design of structural steel works based on loading criteria
• Lifting, Structural & transportation analysis of steel structures
• FEA and stress analysis using STAAD Pro.
• Wind and seismic loading analysis as per ASCE and UBC Codes.
• Steel support grid design using HILTI/ ALNOR/ Oglaend Channel systems
• Construction support at yard acting as Site-Engineer guiding supervisors and foremen
• Reviewing structural drawings and making sure they meet up with the specifications.
• Structural steel estimation & optimization of Offshore modules, E-houses and ship structures.
• Preparing Technical specification for Procurement from vendors
• Material grade selection for complying project and class requirements for structural jobs
• Material handling study for offshore platforms
• Coordinating with production team and ensuring smooth flow of Deliverables
• Guiding a team of 5 Draftsman and two Junior engineers for keeping up with the deliverable schedule.
• Coordinating with Hull Engineers, Subcontractors and Production regarding problems encountered on
production during fabrication and solving issues affecting the schedule
Integral part of the design team handling concept, basic and detail design
• Preparing design drawings in Tribon and AutoCAD
• Generation of Lines and Surface
• Raising Technical queries and suggesting design reviews to clients
• Preparation of Production Information Assembly Drawings, Plate nesting, profile sketches and Dimension Control

• Scheduling and planning to meet deliverable deadlines
