Heading the department responsible for procurement of petroleum products of the company. The total value of procurement is more than US$ 7 billion where majority of product is imported from various countries in the Middle East and Europe and Far East. Deal with major oil traders such as Trafigura, Vitol, Bakri, Gunvor, etc and also major oil suppliers such as Kuwait Petroleum, BP, SITME, etc.
Also responsible for the inventory management and other oil related matters of the company.
Pakistan State Oil is the largest oil marketing company in Pakistan having a turnover of more than US$ 10 billion per annum.
Managing the supply chain of 12 million tonnes of POL products nationwide for the largest oil marketing company in Pakistan (Turnover: Pak Rupees 1.3 Trillion or US$ 13 Billion) .
The POL products are sourced through local refineries (30%) and imports (70%), stored at company's dedicated storage depots and terminals and then distributed through pipeline, railways and tank lorries.
Effective and efficient planning is the key to availability of products without risking dry-out at critical consumption centers.
A member of some of the major teams for negotiating market premiums on POL products thus significantly impacting company profitability.
