Asad Rahman

This is a family run restaurant and has been passed down from my grandfather to father. It was opened in 1964 and is now operating under my management.
I started here as a young boy and worked my way through every department. I worked under my father learning the aspects of the business including financial management, operations, marketing, social media marketing and supply management. Besides running the business i also used the knowledge gained from my degree to try new things.
Some of the day to day activities are as followed:
Operate till and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Record opening and closing cash balance in till to ensure accuracy
• Count stock at the beginning and end of shift
• Restock bar as required
• Make sure the restaurant is clean according to Health and Safety Requirements and looks well presented
• Opening and closing of the store.
• Managing staff members and any conflicts or problems that occur in or out the premises
• Dealing with customers, their gratitude and their complaints in a professional manner.

Alongside this i had a number of other part times including retail, customer service and other catering companies.
