JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Involved in Electrical Estimation, Tendering, and Costing activities for company.
• Study & Review of technical specifications of the project, bill of materials / quantities and drawings to determine suitable vendors and suppliers from the tender documents for proper estimating works.
• Careful analysis and evaluation of all the Tender Documents, preparation of tender queries, forwarding to Senior Estimation engineer / Proposals Manager.
• Sending Enquiries for the products/ equipment’s involved in the project to various suppliers as per the Vendor list available for the project.
• Collecting offers from various suppliers, evaluating the offers, preparation of comparative statements for major items during the tender time.
• Evaluation / review of supplier’s pricing through technical comparison and selection of most competitive price to meet the project requirements.
• Preparation, maintenance of Data Banks for the major and first fix items related to Electrical Services.
• Preparation of supplier / Vendor s data bank for electrical items.
• Preparing technical queries for ambiguities in drawings, specifications and BOQ.
• Careful review of the tender documents /drawings, careful review of the client requirements and analyze the needs and suggest relevant engineering options, taking the quantities from the drawings, quantity survey, preparation of Bill Of Quantities for Electrical services, accurate costing based on the BOQ and quantity take off, preparation of offers, preparation of budgets for the project execution team, preparation of estimation notes and /or pricing sheets and all other documentation required for the management and client review.
• Have experience in costing / estimation of stadiums, infrastructure projects, commercial and residential buildings, hospital projects, shopping mall projects, airport, mixed use development projects etc.
• Identification & preparation of Variation claims for the Projects in liaison with QS department.

Working as an Electrical Design Engineer, Reporting to Design Manager.
All types of electrical calculations.
Lighting calculations (using Dialux Software)
Power / Load calculations (using Watts/Meter Calculations)
Preparation of load schedules
Preparation of SMDB schedules
MDB schedule and Load calculation.
Transformer Selection
Capacitor bank calculation
HV Switchgear calculation
Generator selection
Preparation of MV & LV Single Line Diagram

Responsibilities Includes the following:
Estimation of Electrical items in High Rise Buildings, Office Complexes, Warehouses etc.
Prepare Technical & Commercial Quotations to the Main Contractor / Client
Prepare Cost Variations based on contract documents.
Design Shop Drawings and Load Schedules for submitting to Consultant.
Co-ordinate with Site Engineers, get drawing approvals and Material Approvals from Consultant and Local Authorities, Review and Update the Weekly Meeting Reports.
Source the required materials from the market and prepare the L.P. O’s
Conduct meetings with suppliers / manufacturers to learn about new products.
Control the Material flow from the store to the site as per the requirement.
