Conduct risk based audit of credit operations of Retail, Corporate and Islamic banking branches including review of credit initiation process, security documentation and analyze of financial health of borrower etc. .
Conduct risk based audit of general banking operations of Retail, Corporate and Islamic banking branches including review of adherence of AML/KYC policies and Basil-II requirements, analyze financial position and IT environment and Perform audit area assigned by Regional Head carrying significant risk.
Periodic or surprise inspection of stock held with the bank as security as prescribed by Group Head -Audit & RAR or as bank’ approved policies, guidelines, manuals and procedures etc.
Conduct Management audits of Human Resource Management Group (HRMG), Central Accounts Division (CAD), Fixed Assets Department, General Service Division (GSD), Internal Control Division (ICD), Credit Control Risk Division (CRCD) and Circle Offices (controlling offices-Retail Banking).
Conduct special assignments including audit investigations, write off of loans and wavier of markup.
Review/validate “Risk Assessment Data of Branches” and preparation of “Risk Assessment and Planning Sheet” of branches.
Review work of subordinates to assure that work has been properly documented and performed as per audit program.
Brief team members on their particulars areas to provide effective coaching throughout the assignment to ensure the work is appropriate.
Consolidation of exceptions according to their significance and recommend Audit Rating for branch to Regional Head and escalate critical issues that warrant immediate action with management.
Final discussion of audit findings with management including suggestions for remedial on internal control weaknesses.
Ensure that the working paper file is adequately prepared for archiving; and ensure compliance of bank’s approved policies, guidelines, manuals, procedures etc. and government laws and regulations, IIA standards etc. to make audit activity effective.
Initiate / recommend value addition in “Audit Master Data” based on amendments in laws, regulations and bank’s policies and procedures.
Audit & Accounts
Work performed includes development audit plan, identifying internal control weaknesses and suggesting remedial measures to eliminate them, supervision of audit, audit reviews, liaison with client and audit staff, completion and finalization of audited accounts within budgeted time and compliance with International Standards of Auditing (ISA) as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
