Planning and execution of inspection, load testing and certification of various lifting equipment’s/lifting gears in line with BS, EN, ILO, LEEA and LOLER. e.g.
• Mobile cranes, overhead cranes and fixed cranes
• Industrial forklifts and reach stackers.
• Crane gantries, runways and gangways.
• Electric/hydraulic/pneumatic hoists and winches.
• Storage and material handling equipment’s.
• Hand powered equipment’s, BOP hoists and hydraulic jacks.
• Lifting frames, spreader beams and A-frames.
• Offshore containers, man-riding and material baskets, Gangways.
• Personnel protective equipment’s and personnel transfer nets.
• All kind of lifting accessories/loose lifting Gears.
> Conduct destruction test and proof load test in 1, 000 tones capacity tensile test bed and certify the lifting accessories which meets the standard requirements..
> Testing of Deck crane using water bag and load cell.
> Review of lifting plans, method of statements, risk assessments and procedures for critical heavy lifts.
> Identifying, updating and maintaining technical standards, codes of practice, procedures and check lists..
> Preparation of reports, checklists, procedures, rigging procedures and drawings and certificates for the above.
> This job contains heavy exposure to all major fields like all the ports all over in UAE.
> Approval of mill test certificate/material certificate, declaration of conformity of lifting equipment’s/lifting gears.
> Declaring the nonconformance and compiling the defect notice to the client/contractors in reference to the international standards.
> Design approvals and quality control surveillance during manufacturing of various lifting gears in adherence to the respective international standard/client requirements. e.g.
• Man baskets as per BS EN 14502/OSHA 1926.1431
• Offshore containers BS EN 12079/DNV 2.7-1
• Steel wire rope sling as per BS EN 13411/BS EN 13414
• Lifting Beams as per BS EN 13155
• Sinker blocks/delta plates as per client requirements
> Provide testing facilities and arrangements for classification societies like ABS, BV, DNV, GL and TUV.
> Testing of crane/forklift/excavator operators for their competency.
> Testing of Pad eyes using Pad eye Tester.
> Verification/Thorough Examination of Hand Powered Equipments such as Chain Block, Lever Hoist, Winches, Contractor Lift, Beam trolleys and Snatch block etc..
> Handled multi disciplinary projects for Lamprell, Swire pacific, Topaz marine, Marinco UK, ENSCO, Shinyang, Airliquid, Vanoord, GAC marine etc.
> Works in line with company HSE policy, ensures contractor, subordinates are aware of and comply with HSE procedures, rules and regulations for use of lifting equipment.
