As Lead Secondary Design engineer for the project, responsible for successfully managing complete secondary design engineering works for the projects.
Design engineering work accounted for providing complete design engineering support to project: including for preparation of SLD, CT/VT sizing calculations, review of Protection, GIS LCC & Switchgear schemes, station alarm signal lists preparation for LDC & DMS in line with standard requirements for TRANSCO & AADC, System engineering - interfacing & co-ordination works, substation Interlock logics, extension works for mosaic control panel mimic works, modification works in existing bays for accomplishing new extension, Control cable scheduling and termination schedules and Relay setting calculation engineering work, and also modification works at remote end stations.

Have successfully managed complete design-engineering works for following projects (Client: TRANSCO & AADC, Consultant: Mott McDonald).
• Installation of Power transformer and extension of 220 & 33kV GIS Switchgear at 400/220/33 kV Al Dahma grid station including remote end protection modifications under contract N5481.
• Extension of 33kV Switchgear at 400/220/33 kV Sweihan grid station and also including remote end protection modifications under contract N5481-VO1. This project was successfully commissioned and substation was energized in a very short span of time - 10 months from the receipt of order.

Providing for engineering support to Tendering with regards to BOQ estimation & supplier offer review for various tenders mainly for TRANSCO and also for DEWA & Oman projects.
Also, managing the designing engineering work of Relay setting calculations for 33/11kV primary stations (Umghafa, Al Ghadeer, New Naima, New Niyadat, New Hilli, New Zoo, Old Al Maqam, Al Aliya) for Contractor: L&T as part of support for our Substation Automation group for Contract A3900 (Expansion and reinforcement of 33kV Network in Al Ain).

As System Leader for Control systems & Protection, managed two projects for client NHPC:
4X60MW URI-II Hydro-electric project
3X77MW CHAMERA-III H.E.P project.

Responsible for both base design & detail design. The role included managing all the documents preparation, BOM specification freezing & ordering, planning, Time scheduling for each activity involved in project, budget updating, interfacing & co-ordination with Technical project leader, other departments, sourcing and most importantly, managing a team of engineers & CAD operators.

The document preparation works as regards to Control system included various documents for Basic & detail design, some of which are mentioned below. viz.
Configuration / Network architecture drawing (showing the hook-up at Controbloc & Centralog levels, all the network components involved for control & communication and facilities available in Centralog Control room)
Control systems design memorandum (detailed write-up describing the same Configuration drawing & giving all Controller / Centralog Control room equipment details)
Level of Controls (describing the different level of controls provided by the SCADA system)
Cubicle specification details
Control logic diagrams in terms of flow charts for various programming sequences
Equipment & Electrical schematic drawings for Controller cubicles and and also Local Control panels for various systems involved in the power plant.

In-charge for implementation of E3 software (CAE tool for panel engineering & Cable engineering). Successfully managed the implementation of the same.

Role involved mainly following activities for same:
interacting with software supplier (AMB-CIE / CIM-TEAM) to integrate the requirements of Protection & Control panel engineering & for automatic cable schedule extraction from schematics, & providing logics for customization part.

Manage the creation of huge amount of database involved for the same.

Also, the same work involved testing of various programs, identifying bugs, get it rectified & when fully functional provide training & guidelines to all engineers for its implementation.

Successfully managed all the Protection enginering drawings preparation for 400/220KV KOTA substation project (Client: PGCIL) in E3 & also complete cable schedule extraction automatically.

Active involvement in standardization for Protection & Control panel schematics & also cable schedule philosophy for different customers based on voltage level & Bus configuration. List of clients for which this standardization done: PGCIL 400/220KV S/S - both conventional & based on IEC 61850, CSEB, and Enercon.

Also, involved with control cable schedule preparation works for various projects viz. 400/220KV Bhatapara substation, 400KV Dehgam, Nagda & Khandwa substation.

Undertook intensive training program on IEC 61850. Also, provided training seminars for fellow design engineers for E3 - Guidelines for working in E3, Extraction of cable schedule report from scheme made in E3, IEC 61850 communications standard.

Successfully managed & handled the system engineering works for following prestigious projects:
Construction of 380KV & 132KV 9013 (GIS) substation at Al-Shefa area in Riyadh. Client: SEC-CTA, & 380KV, 132KV & 13.8KV Jeddah North (GIS) substation. Client: SEC-WRB, Contractor: Alfanar for both.

Additionally, managed engineering works for 132KV & 13.8KV 8089 (GIS), 132KV & 13.8KV outdoor Al-Baha s/s, Extension projects for 132KV & 13.8KV ISKAN & ARAFAT (GIS), 110KV & 13.8KV Shuhada, Qudaira & Ushayrah (GIS) s/s, Extension project for existing 110KV Jamia (GIS) substation. Also involved in complete panel engineering for this Jamia S/S extension project.
